get some scrap carpet padding from a dumpster at a local carpet wholesale place. The more dense, the better.

Steal blankets from the homeless.

Steal from the Fair skinned ones, they aren't really homeless.  they probably got mad blankets next to their digital cameras.

I googled sound deadening and came across a car audio forum which recommended using "peel & seal" from lowes/home depot.  Many people stated that it was "the same thing as dynamat", and one guy even claimed that dynamat purchased this material and stamped their logo on it when their supplies got short... I was thinking "yeah, in internet everything is a conspiracy world, maybe."

Then I purchased it.
-Me, a former dynamat installer, and a body work guy all said "wow, same thing as dynamat."
-The backing is plain white, so the restamping may be valid, who knows.

Things to consider:
-Weight: Each roll (6in x 25ft) is only 4.1 lbs.  I doubt most cars that are worried about weigh would take more than 3 rolls to do.
-Price: Each roll (6in x 25ft) is $12.  That much dynamat is probably $150 or so.
-Quality: I'm VERY pleased.  It molds and sticks better than I would've imagined.

Tips:
-Go from front to rear of car in floor plans, not side-to-side.  This is obvious to some, but I learned the hard way... I had to go back over some spots on the passenger side.
-Brake cleaner is really good for cleaning your cutter afterwards.

It's about 16 dollars a roll, it's water proof too! If you don't want the foil look it comes in black in the window section at lowes.

How many rolls did it take to do the whole interior like that?

id just use some ear muffs. that way you could use a mp3 player in them as well and easy to take on off. and you dont have to have the feeling of plugs in your ear. if you dont already have them there only 10-20 dollars for a decent one.

I've never used it for sound damping so I wouldn't know, I use it in the construction industry for windows, flashing, etc.
Measure your interior floor and do some simple math and you can get an idea, shouldn't take more then 3 roles or so in a honda.
If you can't figure it out just give me the area of your floor and I will do the math, I don't mind.

Evan, being a man, is not bothered by a little road noise.  That hot late teenage girl he's been shacking up with, however, has her own perspective on the matter.

Peel and seal doesnt work for shit as sound deadner, it slightly stops rattles, doesnt stick for shit on vertical surfaces though

Raamat BXT b stock ($100 for 65sq ft) should do a layer around the entire car and a roll of ensolite on the floor will do WONDERS, luxury liner pro on the floors if you can afford it
