Went last year and loved it! I went tandem for the first jump I gotta go back and take the class to jump alone. I'm nervous about heights and when the instructor made me lean out of the plane with him to check to make sure we were over the drop zone I got nervous. The jump was bad ass never had such a rush in my life.

So who has went high? I think I would have to be to be mellow enough. Otherwise I would bitch out when I got to the point when it was time to go out the door.

I'd be too paranoid to jump if I was high.

I have never jumped high, wouldn't want to, it would take some of the edge off. You will feel high after you land though, its a pretty intense experience the first time around.

I'd rather be a little on the drunk side than stoned.

I did it and was strapped to another dude. The only part I didn't like was the 30 minute ride up in the tin can before we jumped, the terrifying thoughts that went through my head lol, but once we jumped it was an amazing feeling. You will have fun for sure!

One of the fluffy NW crew experiencing weightlessness is amazing to anyone.

It's a blast to say the least. There is also another way to do it can't remember what it's called but basically two guys jump with you at the same time and they pull your chute for you. It can be rough though your first time because landing is not always as soft or as easy as they show on tv.

i'd be up for skydiving.  my aunt did it a few years back.  my wife also did a tandem jump off the side of a mountain in turkey years before we met.  she said the g forces almost made her puke.

personally, i'd do it in a second.  in highschool i loved jumping off high cliffs into water at the local quarry.  just the feeling of being in the air is cool imo.  same deal with big air when i go snowboarding...  but for me the most exciting thing i think would be base jumping.  when you are really high jumping out of a plane, there isn't as much a rush because you don't have a good a sense as to how close you actually are to the ground.  base jumping certainly gives you that.

Skydiving can have the falling fast effect if you look at the horizon, looking at the ground is dangerous unless you are paying close attention to your height, its not too uncommon for people to under estimate how close they are to the earth (should we have another depth perception debate!?)

Base jumping I agree would be ultimate, I have quite a few more jumps to do from a plane before I am certified for that though, not that I care too much about certs :D

the guy with the camera is the instructor... he jumped with another guy, after floating for a bit they spun into each other and the instance his head impacted into the other guys ribs, his neck snapped. he is now a quadriplegic which is why you see his legs flapping loosely on cam as he plummets to the ground

so the instructor is the quadriplegic?

if so how did he get his chute open?
