According to Microsoft, I'm still within my 3 year warranty. So it should be fixed for free. Next time(because I'm pretty sure it WILL happen again), I'll look into having someone else fix it.

He shouldn't bother getting a Jasper when MS will just fix it for free. There is also no guarantee that Jaspers don't fail, but most evidence points that way.

I have a modded console and a unmodded one for online. The modded one is one of the old Hitachi models and the new one has the LiteOn Jasper model. The older one sounds like an aircraft taking off and runs loud/loads slower. The newer one loads games pretty fast and is nice and quite.

regarding the power suply differences between models...

ALL XBOXs be it 360 or legacy have issues with heating/ failure, and even fire. Even the first gen XBOX has an issue... We literally had units(legacy) smoke in the automation lab and shit and had to switch them to a newer PS wityh a breaker in it (that didnt intitially come with the units)...

The 360s we used atr MS were of two different varieties... The dev units were actually different than the retail units... used different powwer supplies, and actually had serial debuggers (that would generate debug spew) when broke, code failed etc, for debugging and fix implementation. The retail units used a smaller "brick" with different output... It was an attempt to not only make them run cooler, but make them more effecient (whaich as a by product made them run cooler).

Dude it kicks ass, problem is everyone snipes and puts c4 on the tanks so you cant own them all, but me and a buddy got the tank a few times and killed everyone multiple times. My sn is glustic, ill add you tonight
