I have been racking my brain trying to decide how to actuate the hydro clutch on the H22 tranny in my crx. I really don't want a clutch cable, but I don't really see any room for a master cylinder at the top of the pedal under the dash. My hatch has a metal dash so I had all the room in the world for a master there. I'm considering this wilwood pedal and maybe cut a small hole in the firewall for the master to poke through. Thoughts?

Adds to stock cable pedal assembly, puts master cyl in cabin. I think i remember reading requiring to take out a hvac duct to fit...
-
I made my own just like that for my EF hatch. It has a metal dash so it fits fine and works like stock. The crx is keeping everything under the dash. That's not an option.
-
Will see if i can find it read some one used a eg pedal assembly and mounted the master under hood like normal
-
That can't be. The shock tower is too close. I have measured that every way possible, it won't work. I'm forming a plan, but won't know till the weekend when I really have time to get into it. That wilwood pedal won't work either. Not enough room on the floor.

how does that work?
-
exactly. its oem. 90-91 Prelude. the brake pedal appears to be hallow and clutch pedal rod/pivot goes threw it....

yeah, hack in a prelude pedal assy, and a s2k cmc.

If ya need spacers for S2K clutch master cylinders. :noel:

That's interesting. I think I'll keep that as a plan B to what's on my mind right now.
-
it might be worth a look. i know there are always a couple at the junkyard. if that side of the pedal cluster can fit without too much trouble, might be a solid idea...
-
Yea, I'm liking the idea. I think it's a bit more effort than my current plan. I think getting rid of the brake booster will open up enough room to get the clutch master between the brake master and the shock tower

should be plan a
