Looks, good, is that a T6 flange?
-
f words, thats awsome man, what flange is that? looks like it took a while to fab...
nice work nog :noel:

shit looks good
make some ka24de ones
-
That's purdy.

looks like a t3 to me

This

on a scale of 1 to 10 how hard would you rate this. i have to build one for an r34 within the next year
-
i thought it was a t3 but the 6-1 collector fooled me, looked like that collector was a bitch to make. my buddy wants me to make a manifold for his rb20 corolla after winter, i think im going to have fun making the collector
-
I will say this is the hardest manifold i have made so far, just based on having to build it a certain way. or welding it is imposable.
Maybe a 6 out of 10. i would think a t3,t4,t6 open 6 cyl. manifold would be harder to build. I'm not looking forward to ever building a open 6-1 collector.
I also got caught off guard on a few runners warping. that i will have to watch closer on the next ones.

i noticed the shrinkage on that front runner pic. thats why i try to weld runners while the are taacked to the collector and head flange if possible.
-
Yeah i welded anywhere from 80-90% of the welds while it was together, i just have to change my approach more with these when welding off the jig. I will say this tuaght me alot obout how far runners move.... :-X
-
looks good matt. you know i sell an rb combo flange that rits all rb patterns right?
-
tits, those collectors look like fun.
how much did you charge for that?

Really? I will need these in the future. the customer supplied this flange.
-
two passes? post that on yellowbullet
-
speedglas right?, and then i see for the harbor freight angle grinder O0, $17, mine just took a shit not too long ago.
-
So Nice!!! Great work.

Yes i run a root pass then a cap pass with filler. I'm not on yellow bullit.

thats why i hate building ramhorns, runners shrink a ton.

when you going to post up your work. Fab section is getting pretty boring.
I will have a 2jzgte manifold up in the next few weeks.

Looks good man, something looks funny with the turbine inlet flange though.

The shape of the port is a bit off. idk why it is but that how it came.
-
how much did you charge for that?
how much?
so uhh how much?
-
Idk, it won't be cheap for me to make another. In the area of $1000+. it's a lot of work.
-
You are a cheap date. I have to do a 6 into 1 for a stroked Jeep motor in a Pacer. I told them just labor $1k plus. Up your rates!!!!
-
I know i need to, but i have a few things to work out along the lines of fit up that i need to work out before i charge more. IMO
-
$1000 is cheap for that, I charge half that for a miged steel splog. :P
-
yeah but people around here don't pay high prices..... :'(
-
1k is fucking cheap.
-
no shit. i wouldn't do it for less than $1400 and my welds don't look half as good as your matt.
-
Mitch... BUY ONE For a G I would.... Or force Marcus into slve labor again... HAHAHAH
Very nice nig.
I turned flat black onto the thread as he has an IMMACULATE 98 I believe Kouki with a fully built RB..... Hes got a 6262, a gt3582r and a 3976 r laying around from which to choose to stuff on it but weants to keep AC...
-
this is where the turbo sits. Oh and don't hate on the pink car to bad, it's a drift car i guess. Oh and i made it to clear tubbed fenders.

looks awesome as always matt, good work

im trying to compile some pics, i dont take any of my own work so i have to gather it from the people i build it for.
-
yeah i have that issue, i never take enough pictures.
-

+1, if the buyer of that splog wouldn't have said "your not getting paid, unless you take some progress pics" I would have never taken any either.
-
Yeah I never take any pictures either, all the pics I have are from friends or customers, the only reason I have a camera is because a friend gave me one so I could take pictures of my stuff, I kinda feel bad for never using it, but I don't take pictures of anything, including places I go and people I meet etc. If I can't remember it, couldn't have been that important.
-
It's a pretty big god damn hassle to clean your hands, put things in position, etc every 15 minutes to take a pic and I'm not about to ask someone to take pics of my stuff... so I understand completely.
Isn't that what the bitch is for? Well besides quelling your general 'man needs'.
-
nice! what did you use for clean it?
-
nice! what did you use for clean it?
Do you mean polish the bends? if so i used red 3m pads on a angle grinder.
