HID kits, where to buy
« on: March 22, 2015, 03:38:59 PM »

Where is a good place to buy a HID kit?

None of the eBay crap. Already been through that.

Thanks.

I've used two sets from ebay and they were alright.

After installing a set LEDs on my buddy's civic, I think I want a set of those, a lot less power requirements and they look great.  :noel:

I got a set of Kensun-brand off Amazon about a year ago. They have 2500 reviews at 4.5 stars and so far no issues. WAY brighter than the 9005 high-beam silverstars I had in the Integra's 9006 low-beam. I got the 6k 35w but I think I'd rather have got the 5k. They have a nice slightly blue tint but I prefer pure white. If I got the 55w version I'd get the 6k since more power drops the color down ~1k kelvin. For my 95 Civic I want to try the ebay retrofit projectors with a Kensun H1 kit.

I'm not a fan of them in reflector housings either. However the stock projector housing functions just like an HID with a fuzzy cutoff, it even has the uneven zig-zag in the middle for both beams. It's there and there's no glare, but the cutoff line is fuzzy unless you're 10ft from a wall. I made sure I matched the before & after light angle at 10 & 30ft for both sides.

I was driving home the other night and some cunt with a caravan had the worst/brightest kits in his heads and fogs, I high beamed him and when he tried to flash me every light on the front of that cunt went out, made me happy lol.

Before that a guy in a early raptor with super bright hid's and two sets of ridgid led fog lights (none dot) high beamed me, I run stock bulbs that the truck came with in 2009. I've never got flashed before. He was turning in town and I pulled up beside him and yelled at that cunt, he wouldn't even look at me lol. Fuck I wanted him to die
Just my luck that the cunt turning night into day blinding me with 6 illegal lights flashes me.

I wanted to!
Some hid lights arnt too bad some are terrible. Depends on the housing and what sized kit they are running I think. I wouldn't mind a proper retrofit on my truck but then it will look like every other asshole brodozzer with ebay projector lights lol.
