Title: shitty code 9 - Problem solved. dont borrow things from friends!
Post by: ApexSilver06MR on February 22, 2010, 03:01:03 PM
Crx. A6 block, y8 head, sohc non vtak distributor. Obd0-obd1 jumper, p28.

The car runs and feels fine in boost. This code 9 is pissing me off. Is there a way to bypass this bitch?  I might have to try a new dizzy. Shit.

ninja edit : I pulled off the wire loom and electrical tape from my distributor harness.  its fuckin pinned out wrong.  shit.  dont borrow shit from friends...

CYP is inside the dizzy. Either a fucked up dizzy jumper, or a shitty dizzy.

Try another one and see if it goes away.

Well that's what I was thinking.  Crank position sensor is external and on the oil pump on y8's. I remember JD saying something to me about this.

So you think everyone who repins obd2 dist to obd1 get code 9's?

My original plan was to run an obd2 sohc vtec dizzy and JD said that I might be able to limp the car around but it wouldn't run right. I was just putting 2 amd 2 together and thought that y8 has an external cylinder position sensor I would throw the code.
