I've only played the first 3 levels but I love the destroyable environments. So far it's as good or better than MW2.

cant do it in bad company 2 anymore unless you run between 4 or 5 camp points  :mexi:

i use kill cam to fool an enemy into thinking im running one way (after i kill em i run one way then after 5 or so secs i double back and camp) i wait for them to move in the general direction i was going then i take them out  :noel:

doesnt always work because sometimes they watch killer cam longer than usual..

Yea I played Bad Company 1, been a while. I remember you telling everybody back in the day to get battlefield 2 for PC, you still play that? Never tried it, looks cool though.

i owned in bad company 1 on xbox 360.. took a while to get used to console faggotry tho :(
then i could lead people with my m95 and pick em off as they were running

battlefield 2 project reality is bad ass but i havent played in almost a year.. (pc took a white) they now have thermite grenades and Chinook helicopters among other things lol

i cant praise the game enough...

Is this game honestly worth a fuck?  I played MW2 a lot and after a while, I HATED that game.  So much wrong with the online multi-player it made it impossible to continue to play.  I've read mixed opinions saying that even as bad as MW2's online experience is, it is 100000x better than this game.  I've also read the exact opposite.

I've been playing Fifa10 the last few days building Liverpool to be ridiculously awesome but I have missed MW2 a bit.  I just can't deal with how glitchy the game is anymore.

i just finally broke down and bought a 360 last night. are the controls the same or similar to COD? im having a hard time adjusting to the xbox controls after playing ps3 for so long that i would suck if they were alot diff.

im also getting bored of mw2, especially now that i have it for 360 and ps3 so something new would be cool.

I've never met a person that played FIFA and didn't love it after playing.  If you want to experience watching soccer, I suggest finding a local soccer bar and watching an afternoon game.  By afternoon game, I mean a game played in the afternoon in EU which means drinking large dark beers at 10AM.  45 minutes of commercial free sports while drinking large dark beers does not suck.

I rock an arcade with the internal 512MB.  I don't care about the HD.  I can't download demos, but who cares?  Any media I stream from my laptop or just plug my laptop directly into my TV.

If you don't plan on downloading extra content (much) or games on xbox live arcade, just get the arcade.  It has some internal memory (enough to save games), and a wireless control.

I have my 20gb harddrive from long ago still, but one of the newer revision xboxs.

One day when I hook my 360 up I will have a years worth of gaming.

Fortunately I didn't have it connected during the mass banning and now have iXtreme LT installed.  CODMW2, BFBC2, Dante's Inferno, etc to play...

Mine's already banned, but I use my PC for online gaming anyways. Considered flashing LT on mine, but there is absolutely no point if I don't play online.

I just got a new box and swapped cases.

rocking MW2. the thing I fucking hate is the knife, I can shoot a person point blank in the face and then they can come and fucking kill me

Weird, installed it on my friend's and he hasn't been banned yet, but then again it wasn't flashed beforehand.

The update that detected the modded ones was passed out before the bans, so you just disconnected after you already failed the check.

I'm curious if mine will be banned once it's online.  Don't think it's been updated in a long time so should be fine.

Knife is meant to give an edge for close-range combat.  Entirely unrealistic, but that's a game for you :P

Just bought it today, the campaign is pretty damn good, although I haven't finished it yet. Online is ok, about the same as all the other Battlefield games. A good change of pace from MW2, but overall I would choose to play COD online vs BC.

For dredging the topic up? Maybe.

I'm only playing PC. Dedicated servers, hardcore, no killcam.

Hardcore is about the only way you don't have to worry about ONLY snipers. Recon class is a tad too strong until you get mag ammo for all classes. Then assault becomes too powerful for ppl who know how to aim. I think this game is a perfect mix of short-game like MW1 and long-game like other BF games, except it's a lot harder to start out. N00b weapons suck donkey nuts.

Yes, it is hard to start out. I am starting to unlock new weapons so its getting a little easier. I am not averaging 10 kills a game. lol

It's not always about kills. Easiest way is to lvl up is to play Rush mode and play medic. Hang back a bit and run around healing ppl who need it. You always have idiots trying to be meat shields. Last night I got 480pnts in 5 seconds by tossing a med kit in a building that was under heavy fire. However i still ended up in the top 3 for kills and #1 player. Playing close-quarter games like COD4/5 really help you with powerful low-RPM guns.

Once you level up some, use your new gear to start the others. Engineer is great for that watery desert conquest map, assault and is great with all winter maps. Recon will work decent for any rush map with pinch points. I 'cheat' by using a mouse I can slow the speed on (G5 laser) when I'm a recon.

It also helps if you stick to one gun for a while. I'm getting tons of 5000pnt gold medals since I don't swap to a new gun every time its availible.

The biggest argument people use for gaming on a PC is being able to use mouse/keyboard for FPS games.  It really is a nicer combination than a controller as long as you dont need to do some ridiculous antics to crouch/jump/run/reload/etc.

If you're used to the controller, just buy a wired xbox 360 controller.  You're going to get owned anyway.

MW2 is easier in my opinion, i got lvl 70 in a week on that game without playing too much.
This game is more fun to me because everything is fully interactive.

Mouse for movement + "aim down sights" (and other things depending on your extra buttons), keyboard for mostly everythign else. It will take time getting used to it, but being a grid pattern it's not like playing an N64 for years than switching to xbox. You just have to get the "spacing" right, since they all feel the same obviously. I use my mouse for reload, melee, and switching weapons too, but it's a mid-range G5 mouse. I couldn't convince myself I needed an $85 mouse :?:

You *will* get owned for a while while you get used to pc controls, more than a few hours. Best thing to do is get COD5 WaW and mess around with semi-auto rifles on tactical-mod servers. If you can get used to hitting ppl in one shot quickly, you can master a quick spray with mg's. There aren't as many snipers now on PC, it's actually very even on average - at least on hardcore servers (that's all I play). BF has always been about teamplay though, not 1-man-tactical-army like COD games tend to be.

Ok i just got this game like 2 days ago, and its not near as good as MW2. The online is ridiculous. The story is kinda fun, but i don't know if its better than MW2. If i wasn't compairing it to MW2, it would be a great game, but since everybody is all for either one, im down with mw2.

MW2's story is retarded. Not just that, but you can complete the single player game FASTER by just running w/o killing anyone. Try it.

Online BC2 is more about the team than the individual. No retarded killstreak bonuses, no uber shit like kniving w/shields Try hardcore and just keep your head down as a medic til you get used to it.

Im gunna stick with it and play for a while, since my girl is leaving for 2 weeks. Ill play alot of it, but from first impressions, its definetly not a mw2 killer.

it kinda sucks in the beginning because you have crappy guns to start with, but you can pick up other people's guns.  you need to play with some people you know and as a team.  that helps a lot, you can rack up a lot of points by helping your team mates with resupplies, heals, revives, fixes and motion mine assists.

playing hardcore is great for snipers, not so great for other stuff.  the fastest way to get points is to play regular mode and just throw out ammo boxes or med kits and let the points rack up.

DRQPQUT has it... It just looks too slow. The grapicks mirror that of a 25 cent arcade game.  MW is wayyyyy smoother. Although the destroyable environment is bad ass, other than that I have no urge to buy it untill they get the movement right.

Ill wait for MW black ops.

I bought, it beat it, took it back.
The multilayer sucks dick. You can still camp perfectly fine. When you snipe since the game is more life like then mw2 the bullets have drop. I was map shooting people as long as I aimed above there head.

The games move to slow/vehicles and levels suck.
MW2 FTW!

You've never used the AN-94 much then. Recon is my lowest scored kit, it's boring, however I'm not bad at it. Hell once I sniped a blackhawk's gunner, then driver that was flying a good 100 yards from me, not hovering. Just 2 shots, and I was laughing my ass off.

Just wait until you get the magnum ammo perk, all the other classes are more fun then. I'd say I'm #1 scoring player in 20% of my matches with all unlocks. I tried making a new char, and I'm usually stuck in the low-mid ranks due to crap unlocks. They make a huge difference.

The vehicles aren't meant to be pwnmobiles, they are intended for support & transport. This isn't a 1-man army game. However, if you play them right, tanks and apc's will own anyone. Half my chopper kills are with a tank's main gun, and I've killed many choppers.

If you compare graphics, its because MW2 changes to low-res models past 2 yards. Silencers are square, etc. In BC2 the grass on ghillie suits are clearly visible at any distance if you have decent resolution on all but the lowest setting (PC). It does take a lot of horsepower tho, that's the problem. Plus MW2 was made for xbox, then ported to PC/PS3. BC2 is optimized for PC, like an online FPS should be.
