Didn't think to take a picture but am about to place another order for shit I need.
Anyway it's on the transmission side of the block (B18A) near a coolant hose port that goes out the side of the block at a 90* angle. Has two holes diagonal from each other near the port and being that they are "open" on the other side and proximity to the coolant pipe, I'm assuming they will spew hot fluids into my eyes causing injury to myself if I do not put whatever should go there in there.
If nobody knows I'll just put some bolts in, but I know one of you fuckers knows...
UPDATE:
here's what I'm talking about:
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi284.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fll5%2FJ0r5h3r%2FThuFeb25173351CST2010.jpg&hash=fcbd41a1fefb74047897e1782e803060656ea68d)
The two near the hose port.
Also, WTF IS WRONG WITH THIS BRACKET:
(https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi284.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fll5%2FJ0r5h3r%2FThuFeb25173341CST2010.jpg&hash=f30db81e798ec8ac7effec38e1c9d14303609727)
Is that the correct one for the b-series in a CRX? The holes line up and bracket looks like it will work...however the bolts that fit into the transmission are bigger than the holes on the bracket.
-
On the head I ASSume.
Towards the front of the car or the rear of the car?
Which head are you using?
The only thing that comes to mind from your description and your shitty ass pic is the coolant inlet that should bolt to the side of the head where the upper radiator hose attaches.
-
Or this pic?

One of them is for the coolent temp for your gauge,(the one on the left, its 1 wire) and one is coolent tep for your ecu.(its the one on the right and its 2 wires)

word jack them for your sohc motor :)

Will do, thanks, now....wtf is up with that trans bracket?
-
The temperature sender for the gauge cluster goes in the lower hole. The coolant temperature sensor for the ECU goes in the upper hole. You can rob both of those form a D series.
Are you sure the holes on the bracket line up with the hole sin the engine and transmission? The two that go inot the transmission look like they are too far apart. Maybe from an auto?
Nog, this has got to be the slowest B swap into 88-91 civic ever.
;D
I may have a few of the pieces that you need.

Haha, I think it is...but was hoping to get this shit done within the next week...isn't looking that way now.
The bolt holes line up perfectly, but they're for sure slightly too small. The holes that are too small are the two that go into the b trans.... The part at the top that's has the bolt going through the bracket and block seems to be fine.

Shitty pic, but yeah it all lines up.
The bolts that fit through the bracket also fit right through the threaded holes in the transmission :P
The bolts that thread into the transmission do not fit through the bracket holes.
I know someone with a drill press, may just drill it out, but would rather have the proper part.
-
Weird.
19 mm heads on the bolts that go into the transmission?
Dunno man. It has been way too long since I have had to deal with the swap in my CRX. The bracket appears to be the right one though.
It kind of sucks that those things don't have a stamp on them or anything like that.
-
I think they're actually 17mm bolts, not 100% sure, but anyway the bolt threads into the trans perfectly, but won't fit through the bracket. I guess I'll just take it to the drill press this weekend and try to drill it wider. It's only a couple mm too small...I'd rather pay for the proper bracket if someone has one though. Not sure WTF is up with this one.
On an unrelated note, how can I tell what my reman dizzy came from? The cap I bought from vatozone won't fit either. The bolt holes are all a couple mm too far "inside" which may just be a shitty cap but I've bought the cheap caps before and never had a fitment issue.
-
Thats a cable rear bracket hence why the bolts are smaller than a hydro rear bracket. I wanna saw that when I did a hydro install in a crx we used the cable bracket and did just what your planning and opened the holes to fit the larger bolt thread of the hydro transmission

Makes sense, I was given that bracket with cable mounts...
Guess I'll drill that hoe out this weekend.
So now just need cam bolts, and all will be well.
-
I thought the Hydro Vs Cable mount had an offset difference as well?

It probably does. I forgot that he was using a hydro trans.
No idea on that clusterfuck then.

Oh, forgot to update.

Used that classic piece of real, made in USA machinery, a clamp, and a couple piece of scrap wood to make it sit evenly and centered to the drill bit.
A few minutes later, had it done.
Bolted up perfectly fine, holes are not offset.
