Post by: crxvtec91 on June 28, 2010, 06:56:47 PM
Does anyone have the part number to the trans bracket that goes on the frame rail? I look and this is all I can find; http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=CIVIC&catcgry2=1995&catcgry3=3DR+SI&catcgry4=KA5MT&catcgry5=ENGINE+MOUNT+%281%29 (http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/jsp/mws/prddisplay.jsp?inputstate=5&catcgry1=CIVIC&catcgry2=1995&catcgry3=3DR+SI&catcgry4=KA5MT&catcgry5=ENGINE+MOUNT+%281%29)

Nope the one that goes around #4, its tack weld to the frame. The Auto one points up, the 5spd one is straight.

I could probably pull it off my civic before I scrap it if you need it.

I may take you up on that offer, but if I remember right the bracket was like $15 from the dealer.

this conversion didn't cost me anything but a few mm on the cut off wheel and a few 6011 rods.  no special bracket needed.  i did drill the spot welds and take the entire bracket off to do the modifications, then weld it back on.  'measured' with the eyeball and installed just fine

Since it's going to be cut off anyways, I'd just do it flash's way. If you want it to be "perfect" you should get a 5spd shell.
