Trust me. Its solid. Good penetrtation and was very cleannnn You dont get welds that cledan on dirty Jap cast if it there any contamination... It does wierd shit when you hit it with the torch.

Block was heated prior to welding as well.

As Narftard mentioned... Ricky at Speedfactory. Hes had a bit of practice (Most recent weas an NA K series running in the low tens), and knows what works... LOL. The plate was bent to conform to the block nicely, and also any sharp edges internally (succh as at the bottom of the sleeves) were cleaned up and deburred. He was happy to help me out... The SF guys have been very helpfull... Special thanks to Matt and Ricky

Im going to JB weld over the beads though and overlap where the plate is just to make sure that I dont have any weird seeping or wicking issues for proactivity.

I take it the rest of the block was good? Max hardcore overbore cleaned it up?  :noel:

Going out to 89mm  ;D

The cylinder bores were perfect... The bearings were PERFECT, The pistons were perfect... Just that fucking rod bolt >:(

I could have prob gone only to 88mm, Bt I figuref F it, If this thing lasts another 2 years I got my moneys worth, I can sell it to an NA guy for a few hundred bucks then start over, If I havent moved on. You litterally cant even see that part of the block since the turbo compressor hangs right in front of it.

I'd make a new mani that highlighted the window as the focal point, maybe even a neon tube to shine it up at night  :noel:
