Hes been a member for a long time here. just not very active. He did have a 91 sedan running 12's with a stock b20 on a shitload of boost.
How much power is he going to make?
-
fuel?
-
correction. stock b20 turbo on 5psi running 13.4
Stock b20 turbo civic 4 door on 5 pounds 13.4 @ 106 mph (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEkeNEaBd5U#normal)
-
that things going to be a insta spool
-
we will be doing it on 91 unless he wants to do e85

366 WHP /237LB TQ at 12 psi was the last tune

Hopefully it makes some decent power you know what the best part is that i bought this car for $1400 with a spun rod bearing. I am $2400 into it total now lol. Story of my life..... :noel:
This is the car two years ago but its pretty much the same now. I just rebuilt the motor and threw everything back on.... http://www.hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2413913 (http://www.hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=2413913)

bay errea doin work.
-
Crank specs?
-
Will be there at 11am for this. Hopefully someone can obtain good footage.
-
You better get footage, or ripper bids! You know what happens if you don't get bids of it right?
-
I get to Ban you on a Saturday?

Stage 4 Competition clutch, nice and soft for daily driving ??? Mine surely isn't soft, but I'm using a hydro conversion. Either way, definitely a lot softer than I expected. Guy that pulled my car into the exhaust shop argued with me "the clutch is wrong" when he killed it a couple times trying to move it :P
Good luck, don't forget ripper vids.

I had similar problem when I had a windshield replaced a shop. ;D
stage 3 xtd ;D

Yeah this guy was an 'ol southern boy who also argued my motor mounts were fucked until I popped the hood and showed him the shiny Hasports...
What are the goals for this, with the bigass 1000cc injectors and all?
-
i read this a couple times now... no where does it say its a B16A block...
it will not make much power... lol
-
124
-
363hp/228 tq @ 15psi
-
so he made less power with more boost?
yup sounds like something you CA fags would do :P
-
Well took the car up to RDtech today. When made 353hp/228tq with cali's shitty gas. I am definitely satisfied with the car as it sits. It is going to make a fun daily with ac ;) I am going to get a bigger exhuast housing and throw some sunoco 100 in and take it back for a retune sometime in the next few weekends. Probably bump up the boost to 20-25 as well.
Video of us blowing up their exhuast vent pipe :o

And then the last pull. Vtec is mad tight yo

Shit I made more with a sohc and vitaras before on pump 93.....
-
We were tempted to get some 100 but david here took a little too long looking for a vss. We had to borrow pauls.
-
U guys get pics of the dyno sheet or pics of the graph? I want to see how fast that 48 exhaust housing spooled.......lol
-
David has the whole session in pdf I believe. Also has a printout. Weird dip going into vtec but that fucker screamed. I think a .63 or bigger housing would of yielded bigger numbers.
-
Sounds like it NEEDS a bigger exhaust housing, the engine is choking on such a little ohusing.
-
We set vtak at 5500. The turbo was at 14.5psi way before that. Motor made power all the way to 8800.

one of the nogs out here is make 440whp at 19psi on a hoslut and vitaras in his SOHC. thing is nasty.
Get a HX35 on that whip damills and thing will make some ballin numbers.

jay homemadeturbojoint!! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8Fc_FtsZE4#normal)
-
Jay was that you being a ballerina and break dude's mad jdm side skirt? :?: ;D
-
I was planning on makin this a daily with an ac.... but now i am thinking about taking this shit off throwing a Holset on and seeing what it can do.
-
Jay was that you being a ballerina and break dude's mad jdm side skirt? :?: ;D
you got it.
-
Holy shit congrats on running the turbo the right way.
Nice numbers.
and to those who say a bigger housing, not everyone loves laggy ass turbo's so you can make 500 hp for 1000 rpm. I built a 50 trim .48 a/r set up for a friend makes plenty of power for a vitara z6. (320whp on a mustang at 22 psi iirc) runs low 11's.
-
400hp minimum > everything else.
(you're a gooker)
-
Jay smooth move taking moldings with you.
So rhmt is going to have 2 dyno's in nor cal,oh my. I'll be renting out the dyno for fried flip food and food stamps.

I can't agree more, but when u can get a hy35 that would be at full boost by 3800, and pull like a mofo all the way to 8k, that's a big turbo that's not real laggy and has a nice power band.
-
I dont think Dave knows if he wants A/C or not. lol

I just see far to many lag ass setup's because they wanted xxx hp or bust.

over 300whp is great for a street car/DD. This thing is a beast and capable of 11's
-
Any dyno giraffes?? I want to see how that .48 spooled with 353whp.

How is it on the street, really responsive? I'd just thought the dyno would show power come on earlier. I'd also thought it would drop like a rock after 6k but it doesn't.

I thought it would come on a lot sooner, more like my old rhb5 d16a6, man that mother fucker was like squeezing the bottle every time I stood on the gas! Nothing like power on tap with no spool up time.
