Title: Any cars where the convertable is lighter than the hard top?
Post by: rsmith2786 on September 14, 2010, 01:16:10 PM
I realize that the trend is that the convertable model is usually about 300+ lbs more than a hard top version for most cars.  Are there any exceptions to this rule?

If the car was a coupe and then made into a vert, it will ALWAYS be heavier due to the chassis bracing needed.
