Would any one trust these on their car? :?:

old as shit, the link you posted even says 2005

I know but the I read they are finally going on sale.
And the question is would you trust them?
-
Might trust them on the bobcat, not on a car...

If they're being sold they probably went through R&D, therefore safe.
On that note, I wonder how they perform on the track :)
-
id run them on a DD

this would be fucking badass on a bobcat
never have to worry about flats again( the people who work for my uncle are retards and blow them off the bead all the time
-
They have made something similar for bobcats for a long time they are the shit but pricey.
-
I wonder how well they do with a pallet of keystone block( the 130lb ones)

Fine they are actually stiffer than an pneumatic tire.
These are the ones I was talking about (https://realhomemadeturbo.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fbase.cygnuspub.com%2Fimages%2FProducts%2FFCP%2F2007%2FJun%2F300x300%2FCaterpill_Nonmarkin.png&hash=e7c7095ce8a3c682644ef160b7a8a31b2064c1b5)

We just fill our bobcat tires with high density foam. You can put 100 nails in them and keep running. They do the same to long reach man lifts.

maybe im overthinking this but they look like they would work good on the tractors but wouldnt mud and shit get stuck in the tires of the car and throw the balence off?
-
any pice of shit gets caught up in that web will unbalance them at high speeds, looks like only for use with slow moving vehicles

Yeah I was wondering about that too.
Wonder what the service life on these?
-
I just want to see some one lay down a smoky burn out with a set of them :noel:
-
these are great, especially with the rising prices of air these days
-
My polymers professor at UW is leading the way in the design and production of these. One thing they are working on is how to keep dirt/snow from getting packed into the voids.

the ones you buy for your car will have a side wall on them.
they removed the sidewall so you could see what was inside them.
they will look no different than any other tire you buy.
my problem is you can't adjust the air pressure for racing
So if these tires are going to have sidewall then why work on keeping snow and mud out of the voids.

It's not that easy, and he's more focused on military apps like hummers and multi ton vehicles.

That works too but you have to cut the tire off the wheel when it is bald so you don't have a casing to be retreaded.
-
One of my tires blew on the freeway today... fucking horseshit stock rubber. I think I'll try one of these airless tires next :-\

Would split rims fix this? I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything, I know nothing of the subject, I'm just wondering.
No they wouldn't. For a few reasons the foam would glue itself to the wheel so super shitty to dismount and mount if you even could without fucking it all up and you couldn't retread it with the foam in it. I have done foam filled tires before and we just sawzall them off of the wheel. I have never seen a skidsteer with multipiece wheels anyway.

Wax the rim, run a piece of duct tape where they seperate and use a split setup
