Sold the car to may dad last night LOL.
Story Goes I Bought a 05 Silverado 4x4 to tote around my dirtbike and shit that was a pile of crap. Had to take it back. It was clean as fuck that had a good deal of miles on it but had a bunch of issues.
Had to fight to get my money back, but they couldn't get me the APR they contracted so they fucked themselves.
Ross has a buddy that owns a lot that got me a dumb (for my credit) 5.9 APR on a 2007 Cummins Ram 2500 HD. ITs a lil brodozered out, on 22/37s (Which i think im going to lower it 2" and put 35s on it) but its CLEAN AS FUCK in and out with 89k on it. I put the car up for sale, and my dad told me if I kept it at my house in my garage HE owns a few rental houses but lives on a big fucking boat), worked on it and kept it up for him... He was interested in it. So I sold it to him for 11K (Was asking 13) so I could put 15K down on the truck. Getting a good deal on it too, at the end of the day Ill end up with a truck that's still worth what I paid for it in a few years... A big change from what I got going on here ewith the car.
HE makes bank, it aint shit to him... Hes just like I am too and is buying it purely to fuck with people in LOL. To take it to domestic meets and fuck with bikes on the freway.

Went to give him the title to it last night and he told me he wanted me to get it tuned on meth and Racegas ASAP (Its ready), and get a 8PT put in it with swingouts... He IS old ;) LOL... So I called Ricky today to find out what we need to do.
HE asked me if I knew why HE wanted it... I didn't really know, he told me Im dumb and that he knew I didn't want to get rid of it and I was going to regret it... HE said this way I could have it back when he was sick of it. HE knew it was part of how I got clean and stayed that way... This way its in the family still... I almost wept and shit...
Kinda crazy, Your old man wanting a car you built (supposed to work the other way around i thought LOL)... Appreciating its FUCK YOU nature. Understanding the concept and thought behind it.
I was really surprised and kinda taken aback. HE told me I could have it back when he got sick of it or kicked the bucket... LOL, not funny... But if you knew him youd understand :O)
So, shes gone... but not really. I doubt hell drive it a lot... Fucker tried to get both keys but that wasn't happening... Told him fuck you i need one to move it if need be. He was just fucking with me though.

Put a K&N in it, silencer ring and grid delete.... building a Aluminum intake tube this weekend, ordered a Trans-go shift kit and GM governor solenoid kit... GOt a dual stabilizer for the Broriffic 37s on chrome nigga!
Then, Just put a couple gauges (EGT TRANS TEMP AND BOOST) in it and have Ross throw a 50-60 hoprse EFI live tune at it for MPGs...
Ill ride the 37s out for a minute though... O0

Nop need for a fuckin trailer... I wanted a full size truck, and better milage (My Pathfinder got 17 on the freeway on a good day, this thig is getting that now...) The more I drive it the more I like it. I didn'tget it to "roll coal"... If its smokin its broken.
Wanted a Silverado... But was underwhelmed with my first gas purchase... The diesel thing is based more off having a truck worth something in a few years and better economy. For what I got it for and how clean it is with the loooow miles on it, I couldn't have done much better.
Drove a hemi Ram the other day while they were doing a couple things they sid theyd do, what a joke. I didn't get the truck to tow trailers, BUT wanted a full size truck.. Gas is a joke, Diesel gets decent MPGs, this on ehappened to have brotastic wheels on it, but at the price I paid. I don't give a fuck... Looks good and judging by 22 year old female reaction so far... Im sure Ill be getting blown by want to be redneck bitches while roillin coal down I 5 regularly...
LIke I said Im not doing a WHOLE lot to it... It had been run through and had oil and filter fuel filters all front ball joints and shit replaced, aligned... Inspection etc... Runs great, not a rattle in it. Solid as hell.

Take the k&n off put stock thick filter in. It won't like sucking in the junk and the oil from the k&n
buy a deep trans pan and reverse the trans cooler thermostat if you want your trams to last longer especially lifted with nigger wheels
edge is junk sell it and get a smarty or Edi live
run diesel kleen every tank, I get 1-2mpg more runnin it and offsets the cost of diese

The BW one is bigger than the stock one (15-20 percent) and you don't need the big gay Billet adapter.
Youre using a stock replacement, im not ;)

Eveybody that is crying about a KN filter being worse than a OEM filter is a MORON... Evidently they have 0 clue how to oil a filter. Ive run them in every high HP car ive ever owned. Diiesel or not, theres NO difference in air coming through a filter. They work for a reason. No thanks. I have a clue. Ill keep it... Dont believe everything you read on the internet sir. Thers not a HINT of Anything in the top of my box, intake tube or turbo. Its DRY and looks MINT (NEW). Bottom line they work, and floew better. Period.
Edge is more than I need. Fuck a Smarty. I know moree than a few people that use this one including the guy I bought it from. They ALL love them. HE had 90K trouble free miles at level 3 constantly, with less shit than what im doing to my tranny... I don't drive the truck like a moron. I got it for 250. In the future if/when i change it will be EFI live.
*Im running the PS grey bottle shit. Yes it works.

i'm NOT running the stock replacement, i'm running a BW. go ahead, maybe it'll work, but most likely you'll have problems with increased line pressure
why would you run a k&n that maybe gets you 2hp and you have to constantly maintain it, i wouldn't trust one running down a gravel or dirt road.

Some of the idiots on those boards shouldhnt be allowed to speak, but Im figurining out whou knows their shit real quick. Ross on my side and a few local guys don't hurt either.
Silencer ring just takes a little work with 1 regular sized but like 4 inch long sgrewdriver to lift the clip "up" out of the groove, then gert a small thin one behind it to pry it OUt or forward... nce you have it about 2 inches... It just pulls right out. Its louder notably, but not real bad....... It was really easy... but you have to get driver number one under that little angled ut which is the challenge.

yes i have the BW one. i've done it three times. its lasted now. but the first two times, once it lasted 10k and once it lasted 2 days.

if you're going to drop the pan soon, buy a dehrale pan. there are only $130 free shipping. it'll make such a difference. its amazing. 30 degree cooler pan temp when i put mine in and did the t-stat mod in cooler

Get a better trans builder. We go through cases (one every couple seasons) more often than clutch packs or solenoids.

What a difference... Put it on 4 and did a quick pull... Holy shit... Back to 2 for daily... Even then its so noticeable. 3 is super noticeable.. but Im not fuckin around with it till the tranny is done.
On 1 it gets 21 MPG now... Not bad with the tires and shit. I drive the truck like a girl... But it was cool feeling 3. I don't want to hurt it, so the highest it will see is 3 on the weekends... 2 for dailying :)

any info on how old the injectors are? 3 or below shouldn't raise the rp. you'll need another 7k in tranny and injectors soon if you hot rod it

Only thing Id really like to do is a FASS at this point. That can wait... for a bit.. Christmas/tax return time. After that a Converter, which can ddefinitely wait. Im looking for a cheap inline trans cooler too... When Ross and I do the VB Governer and billet shit, Ill put an aux cooler on it too

nothing is wrong with my truck or trans. i'm just saying above level 3 the edge will raise the RP and it can destroy old injectors, and even give new ones problems with stock filtration.
the trans issue with increased power is hit or miss i guess you'll just be walking on egg shells.
i wouldn't worry about the aux cooler its really more for towing at slow speeds / highway traffic / etc... as long as you are moving the big one in the front does a great job.
i've heard a VB and converter makes a completely different truck, the converters on these things are horrible. mucho slip and heat to make the trans last with all that torque

we've dyno'd each of the aftermarket intakes and saw no gains at all on exhaust/chipped trucks. I have seen too many oiled filters collapse that I can't be bothered, same with running an outerwares prefilter. If you look after the filter they are fine obviously. Stock intake for me. I change the chevelle oil once a year at best, so that tells you how much I like maintenance, But to each their own!

Will be getting the Sonnax billet accumulator piston and 5.2 lever, hopefully they want to take the trans all the way apart so we can do a band and the increased disk clutch pack plus the buillet band anchor, then Ross wants to tig the input shft to the main gear
I have an Edge Juice with Attitude I picked up for 250 bucks... RHMT 4" Intake pipe, and silencer ring deleted.... K&N bathtub filter in stock box. I still maintain KnN is FINE, and I stay on my shit consantly anyways.. Like Steves mothers troat on the nearest dirty dick (Ask Hotrex).
Am putting a 2 micorn inline filter post lift pump and will do a FASS or a AIRDOG soon... If you have any hookups on shit like that hollar :)

i really don't know i never dyno'd it. anything i said would be a guess. i was trapping about 110 and with me in it is was about 3500lbs.
i'd say it was just over 300rwhp maybe 325??? stock it made 170rwhp. the torque was probably really good though

Dyno tuned and all.
Car went 11.20 at 132 on soft boost launching it trying to save axles... 1.95 60. Letting out... Incredible part was it was holding 23.5 PPSI in 3rd fucking gear... we nevver ran it with the whole meal in it. Got some very good info... Need to get a REAL H22 Pass side axle (broke 2 with preloading) and Launch it like I dont give a fuck and even shifting it like a girl 10s are there... No problem. Only made 3 passes... None all out, none full boost, none shifting hard and none with better than a 1.95 60 being scared of the axles breaking.
Last run of the day we had it setup to leave making 17-18 PSI on the antilag, 22 in 2nd, 25 in third and 35 in 4 and 5.... Axle broke and I didnt have time to get another one. First time it broke we cobbled one together in the pits... Went 11.7 on a 2.3 60 shifting slow and letting out at the end... Trying to figure out BBG settings. Both Ros and i were fucking amazed how much power the car was putting down early....Broke an axle on the next pass 3 feet out, cobbled together a clusterfucked axle out of spare parts and ran the 11.20 at 132 on the 1.95 leaving nice and no ton kill still, shifting slow (Shift events show .5-.75 second shifts)
Next pass we set it up to let it fucking eat (Raised the launch RPM as it was kinda bogging on the hit and boost to NOG in all gears. I left HARD. Axle broke. Done for the day LOL. Like I said, It will run in the 140s, mid tens with one more event worth of seat time and axles in it ;)
I was fucking amazed with how easily the car went straight and how well it hooked. It was litterally almost driving itself, smooth as fuck and straight...They said they were going to use the rest of the years worth of VHT for the day because the weather was cold and they werent lying. This fucking thing hooked like a motherfucker. We actually had to raise the launch limiter...
Getting a PS axle solution and a cage put in it.. Dad was aking about what we need to do to put a bigger turbo in it but I dont htink I want to. Trannys coming out for a look since thats ALOT of power it put down and all the big WHP dyno pulls, but theres nothing noticable wrong (thank god)....

6.5 PSI cold in the tubes of the 26" MTs... (Tried to get the hubcaps to work, but the lip is too deep, but didnt have to do SHIT to get them on, just took off the MHs and put em on and there was room).

Made 550 WHP on straight 92 at 16 pounds (took 17-18 to make 520 on the old motor)
Guillaumes porting and the cams doiing work, Compressor happy, but on racegas it got curbstomped into the wall. It needs a bigger turbo on it. Made 750 again spinning the tires on the dyno... Around 500 TQ, but took 35 falling to 32 pounds instantly to get there... Turbo is DONE. I sprayed meth on the C16 to and there was plenty of fuel for more WHPZ.......

I ve been working on it. Bitch is alive and well... Got the hot unlock code for the EDGE box (Level 6=150 WHP and 350 TQ)... Feels fucking great. Tranny is up to the task now and giving me no shit... Truck is fun to drive :O) Level 6 on the edge box runs hot quick... Tax time Ill be putting a BW FMW 362 or 364 on it (Staying single)... Definately help with the EGTS, then EFI live and a REAL TUNE on it... But I can run the 100 HP tune (250 TQ) and rape it hard now with the little supporting shit Ive done.

Looking good, but for the money an S362 or S364 are, why wouldn't you throw an S475 under the stock charger (port the wastegate on it) and rock that? Bigger powerband, cooler, and more power potential.
That is what we ran on Tmathis's dually.

Got the rest of my stuff for the 2 micron fiter setup... All the AN -6 pushlock line... pushlock 90s, fittings for the CP3 and OEM filter etc... So got busy with a ruler and some carboard...

Here is the mount that will bolt to the front 3 holes on the head just forwaerd of the plunum lid. It sits the filter head just under my air horn :O) Ill go get some steel tomorrow and get it built ASAP so I can put my baldwin in the OEM canister and run the big WIX 2 micron between it and the cp3. I wanted it high as possible to eliminate siphoning when changing it, and also my pressure gauge will be coming right off the filter head right at eye level with the hood open. More pics soon of final install :O)

Well, finally put the Baldwin filter/seperator in the OEM canister and ran my -6 AN plumbing from the OEM filter can to the 2 micron setup I built for my truck this morning :) Weird, the wrinkle coat looks like crap in a couple of the pics... Looks great in person. Meh :O)
Using a NAPA filter head, WIX 2 micron filter, all -6 pushlock AN fittings and earls fittings 12mm x -6 and 1/2 NPT x -6 I had lying around, some -6 fuel rated hose and a 30 PSI liquid filled gauge mounted to a bracket I built out of some 1/8 inch steel and a piece of round stock. Totall invested including gauge is about 130 with EVERYTHING.
Changed out the Baldwin, removed the old line... installed the pre filter line (already flushed and blown out of course), then mounted the filter. Cut the line from the WIX to the CP3 to length, blew it out... Then installed it and bumped the key till i got fuel in a jug. Attached the end to the CP3 tightened her up and it fired without a hiccup first turn :O) Pressure gauge confirms I needs me a lift pump. Thats next. 12 PSI cold at the WIX, 10 warm.. Im sure it falls on its face from there.
Hope ya like :) Trying to figure out what Im going to do for a lift pump... Im thinking a Holley billet Black (Non vane style)... With my own pickup modification to the stock basket and a -8 feed to the Baldwin... I dont want no 1/4 tank issues even though I typically never let it get under 1/2. All the basework at that point will make it ready to put on EFI Live and make some power...
Ill sell the Juice, get a EDGE insight CTS and EFI CSP5 setup. IF Tom ever gets back to me with prices figure out if its the 362 or 364 is going on it... Im not trying to put twins on it.

If you are dead set against twins. Which I cannot fathom why, with a $650 S475 below that stock charger it will be great for anywhere from 450hp-800hp+, have a bigger powerband, run cooler, ect...
Do the 364. A 62mm charger just isn't enough of an upgrade over the stock 60mm charger to be worth the money spent. A stock charger will do ~500hp yes it will be a hot 500hp, a 62mm charger will do a hot 550-575.
If you do end up with the single, and are going to get rid of the stock charger let me know, I starting to put together a set of triples using a couple stock HE351cw's.

Yeah port the HE351cw gate out to about 1". When we did Tmathis's big grey dually we just found a socket with about an 1" od and he kept porting until it would slide through.
Yeah we used a 2nd gen style manifold, with the HE351 pointed up, and the S475 down underneath, but there are lots of ways you can do it.
I have seen several where the he351 is pointed back towards the firewall, and the S475 is up towards the headlight. That one you need to pull the battery and battery box if you want it to fit.
We just used the 171702 $650 brand new in a box turbo. 75/96/1.32 (good for 800-850hp) because that is what I had laying around. If you are going to keep it under 700hp (like mathis was) the better choice is probably the 176806 75/83/1.1 T6 as it will be quite a bit more responsive, it too can be had for $650 brand new.

IIRC just an airdog or maybe he didn't even have that installed.
Was tuned on a smarty, then smarty SSR then EFI.

Bnorth has it covered. He had a lift pump on the shelf, so it was just stock injectors, stock CP3, and stock lift pump, and when the twins were on it was EFI live.
It was okay for what it was, but it was desperate for more fuel.

It was about 400hp, but that was on the stock turbo, it wasn't twins at that point, and it was on SSR tuning not EFI Live. He was at about 500hp when he sold the truck.

Next up... Put a ridiculously low bid on a Custom Diesel Steering box brace... Won it for 50 bucks LOL. Put it in today and wow, what a difference. Theres virtually no felt impact through the wheel and the truck is so much more precise and responsive to wteering wheel input... Pretty sure its helping a conmpromised box bearing, but also stiffening tthre frame rails up and keeping the box itself from moving around, regardless, if you havent... DO IT...
OI read reviews that say they REALLY help and they dont do anything both... My steering was FAR form sloppy, but this... Just tightened it up NICELY... t steers like a car. VERY happy.
Ordered a new 150 GPH fuel pump and a sump today, so those will be next weekends project... After that just need a 2nd gen manifold, and my 475 to come in...
Have plenty of bends for chargepiping and DP... Have a couple 4" Stainless VBAND clamp assemblies laying around and a plethora of ste;l to make a turbo brace from... Need my buddy to donate a T6 flange to the project. Goal is t keep the battery where its at and still use the OEM box (Which will be modded)

Sumped the tank and put the pump and -8 feed in it . Stock lift pump was at 10 PSI idle and falling to 3ish on free rev in Park...
Making 15 now. Dont move a bit. Pump is QUIET. I mounted it directly to my frame rail and cant hear it even just bumping it. NO 1/4 tank issue how we did it... I bought like 3 gallons of fuel from BONE DRY and it was on a slight incline in the driveway. Bumped the key 3 times and it fired up like it never missed a beat.

Hole cut and sump installed (we had removed the stock lift pump, as well as the bottom screen of the canister and and drilled a hole in the bottom right over the pump, alsoi took the stock JIC fitting and cut it, then made a plug out of it so nothing woyuld get into the tank, and its still functional for later whatever the reason may be.

2nd gen manifold bought. Order the S475 next month and get the twinsies done :O) I was going to build my own manifold, but F it. Just going to coat a OEM 2nd gen, after building a jig... Then as I have time buoild a SCH 40 Stainless tubular manifold when I have time... It wont need to go on thew truck till its done and will be a direct swap :)

Flash logic remote start installed... Literally 2 plug install. Pull knee panel, snake wires up column... Unplug keyswitch plug and plug in T harness. Re-fasten knee panel
Turn key to ign, wait for gauges to read, turn off ign.
Pull keys out and hit unlock...
Press lock 3x and VROOOOOMMMM

Deraile tranny pan, filter and fluid change + band adjust (since its all brand new in there) next and keep buying all the little shit to stick the GT42 on it. soon.
Goal is by the rHMT meet to shit smoke all over the shop... Dad can drive the Accord if he wants.

YA Thats why I bought one... Summers coming and this built trans runs hotter for sure, npot bad but around 195-210 after beating on it... Give me a chance to check the bands and get some new fluid in it after the build... Its got about 6K on it at this poit... Needs to be done before the tewins. Its the very last thing that does.
You were saying like 20-30 degrees off... Im into it :)

Yea mine went down about 30 with the pan and removing the thermostat. Just make sure yours is in goof working order and you should see a lit lower temps. I really have to struggle to get mine to hit 180 maybe in the summer towing my trailer in 2nd unlocked up a mountain road

BRAND NEW cooler when the Built trans went in bout 5-6 K on all of it ;)
Probably pop the t stat out of it though... Just that c clip and let the ball come out or whatever then re install right???
Pretty sure with the tighter converter it will help even unlocked too :)

if I remember correctly, you just take c clip off take the thermostat out, and flip the plunger around something has to be in there so you can't just take it out all the way, but if you flip it around it never closes

Derale deep pan. REALLY NICE, 134 with gasket and magneteic plug off ebay. Put it on this weekend and check the bands. There are only 6k miles on it since I had the tranny built, but might as well since the pan is going to be off.
I will report back with what kind of temp change I see.
Trans is built with all PATC stuff... Oversize rigid band... Transgo kit....Altos, Kolenes, Sonax everything (pistons accumulators manual valve etc), Oversized OD spring... GM governor, super single billet low stall coverter etc.

Put the pan on and replaced the filter... For having 8K miles on it since the new trans, pan was flawless inside...
Derale holds an extra 4 Qts and runs a bit cooler. Im going to remove the thermostat from the cooler today.
I have a pile of parts accumulating.. Really only need a -4 feed line and my 3.5" Stainless u bends to be ready to for it... Ill post pics of acceptable frame BW T6 goodness and the rest of the shit later this week when I have it all...
Could use some input on how large to go n the WG on the HE 351 DVST8R and also if I should put some pop off valves on the pipe till I get studs... 50s?

DO NOT EVER PUT THE POP OFF VALVES IN!!!!
They either don't work and overshoot or leak all the time, which is obviously like a big boost like which leads to over-sped turbos.
Just limit the fuel until you put studs in. 70psi (not that it will make that much) with no fuel still has no cylinder pressure which is what causes head gasket leaks.
To be honest if you are going to bother doing studs do the ARP625+ studs, they are a ton of money, but we have been running them for the last several seasons at 1500hp+ with no head gasket issues. The standard 425's really aren't much better than the stock bolts, unless you are going to have the head o-ringed.
If you go with the 625 studs let me know, as I have torque procedure for them.
As far as the Wastegate hole, port it out to 1" - 1 1/16". On Tmathis's dually we found a socket with an 1 1/16" od and ported until it slid freely though the wastegate tunnel. Some guys run a 1" drill bit down them, but we didn't have one handy, but we did have a die grinder and a carbide.

It WILL be on the JWA box for a spell... Prob not too long. But initially will be. It is Hot unlocked.. Sure the turbo will clean it up and make it to where I can stay in it all the way through without defueling due to EGT which is really what I want to do for now, and make a bit more power till I get cash for sticks and bolts :0

Mathis never ran more than the stock sticks with EFI live. I think depending on how he adjusted the gate in EFI live between 45-55psi total, and about 500whp.
I honestly can't recall if we put studs in his dually or if we just re-torqued the stock head bolts down to 135ft-lbs and let it eat. I will text him and ask.

Tmathis did the regular ARP studs, and did them one at a time.
Some other guys have had good luck with Extreme studs. They run an H11 stud that is between the regular ARP and the 625ARP, but closer to the 625 ARP, and I understand they are quite a bit less money than the 625 ARP.

Never had compressor surge in a set of twins, unless someone went silly tight on the converter and too large on the secondary compressor and not large enough on the secondary turbine.

Yeah if you let off the throttle abruptly it is going to stall. That is where the "bark" sound comes from.
Most big truck shops (freightliner, peterbilt, kenworth, navistar, traction, ect...) will carry 4" 90 degree bends.

3" is big as they go. I need a 4" 90 and 2 3.5 U bends .
4 " for DP and hotpipe fab and 3.5 for mid pipe from S475 to the inlet of the holeslut.
Other than that, and a -4 feed line for the BW.. I have everything. Bought a source auto bottom turbo mount to locate everything and build around that :)
Sure like to find a moor out of a truck to use for mock up/tack/fab. LOL
