Ok I will admit I still own a turbo car, 2014 Chevy Sonic 1.4T :noel: But its a factory piece of shit and its the wife's get around car, and with a limit of 250hp on stock engine its a piss poor platform for anything. (BTW, never buy one of these!!!).
With the tank on the go I wont be starting this for a bit as I need to finish the tank, but I want to get some ideas rolling around. You have all seen my fabrication work so lets get some ideas going, and yes it has to be over the top! This does not necessarily have to be a car but it does have to have a car engine with single or twin turbo and make gobs of power.
Candidates so far are:
4 passenger tracked vehicle (like side by side) with a turbo V8
Twin engine twin turbo EK Hatch
Another tank with turbo diesel, all steel build and much bigger to fit multiple people
Homebuilt V8 Twin turbo mini powerboat
A supercar of my own design and build
-
Twin engine twin turbo EK Hatch
-
I opt for a twin turbo gen 4 lsx (car) platform.
-
I opt for a twin turbo gen 4 lsx (car) platform complete with awd.
Fixed because he likes fancy off the wall shit
-
Ok I could go with that. Like a twin turbo awd trailblazer ss.
-
No like a 69 chevelle with awd

Fuck that I already have one Chevy I dont like.

jetboat.

i live in Cold Lake now too. I'm voting turbo boat so we can go for rippers on the lake. I now live in an apartment and all my tools are in storage but I will come drink beer, offer moral support, take credit for great ideas and shift blame for failures any time :noel:

Holy fuck wtm sighting!!!!

Fuck you! That is my job.
-
I have the project...
Xgenturbo and wtm turbo wtm's landcruiser...
Or do a K turbo swap in the great white hype.
Or the jetboat, cause a turbo jetboat makes me hard.

Haha well the boat project wont happen for a while. I need to move off the base and in to my own crib first. But you are still more than welcome to come see the tank/help out/drink beer/etc...I need to get this darn thing done this summer! By any chance do you belong to a group of guys in town that have boosted civics? There are a few. A teal EG and a gray EJ1, That I've seen so far. There is also a few integras and a red prelude kicking around. I think if I do an automotive project next it may have to be a twin engine EK. Its the easiest to do without getting in to too much custom fabrication work. And I have the auto club on base to do it in.

Now you're making me miss my two HJ60's I used to have.

No I don't have a car here with me just my LX450 FJ80 Landcruiser. I would love to come see the tank sometime O0

Think I've seen you around and you've probably seen this?

I also have a black 3rd gen 4Runner that my wife drives from time to time with a custom roof rack and lifted as well. You're more than welcome to come see the tank this spring. I probably wont be working on it too much till march/april. Where do you do your off-roading at? I'd love to take a closer look at the Landcruiser.
I was working on my HJ60 and even restored this frame for it. Then realized that it was way too expensive to upkeep and already have two off road capable trucks so I sold it all off. But the frame was in immaculate shape!

I would love man dates as well if I had a house full of women and cats.

Twin engine done dirty cheap!

Twin engine done dirty cheap!
You thinking LS or B16A? One one hand I love the rod to stroke on the LS for the torque but on the other I really really like the high rev characteristics of the B16 and the fact that I can pull to 9k

Nope, about to full H22. The cable shift cables linkage would be easier to setup. At least in my mind it does.

It would be easier with cables for sure, or a set of solenoids and something electronic controlling them? Less rigging that way. But damn that's a lot of extra weight compared to a B series. I've been out of the Honda game for way too long, and never worked on an H series engine so this will be a whole new learning curve if I ever do it. Speaking of which. Theres a red EG CX hatch down the street in really good shape from the looks of it and its stock and unmolested. Maybe this summer I will try to coax them in to selling it. I like the EK but the EG looks better and has the two piece hatch which I could benefit from. They're also cheaper which is good because I'll need to buy two of these, or one and a front clip.
This project is not set in stone, I'll have to see how things are work wise and financially after the tank is complete but it would be a badass car for sure. Each engine would produce say 400ish HP? I guess you just add up the ponies and that is the total HP you're putting down or how does it work with two engine cars? I know it will be the equivalent of having a V8 in a civic.
-
hit up your local jdm importer... pickup 2 auto sir-g transmissions. couple B18B's, boosted. 250-300hp each. will be stupid fast. and do awesome burnouts LOL.

That is fucking awesome! Not my first choice of car for a twin engine swap but still awesome. I dont know about the auto trans idea. What if one shifts before the other? I rather have control of my gears.
-
but then you cant throw one in drive the other in reverse like the Hyundai above.

I just wish there were options to build honda trans to really take some abuse. 2 500hp motors would be insane!

Kool, that video was sped up, look at the water ripples.... dead give away. :noel:

If that one was sped up, then they ALL were and there's a shitload of those vids on youtube. I think what you're seeing are the smaller waves created from the mist, smaller waves will appear to travel faster.
Some areas up here have what look like mini hydroplanes roughly that size, except you won't see crazy 750cc 2-strokes on them. Usually an outboard with as big a motor they can float.
-
Those things look fun but way too small. I'm thinking of I did the homemade boat project to go with something like this guy:
http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/boat-building/home-made-offshore-speedboat-40538.html (http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/boat-building/home-made-offshore-speedboat-40538.html)
Maybe a bit bigger with a deck, I'd probably try to keep the catamaran style hull and build a hybrid offshore cat/runabout style. I'd like a deck/chill out area big enough for six people so maybe I'll change my mind and do a deep V. Just a thought for now and like I said, nothing is set in stone for a few years to come.
