Title: .bin file/basemap directory
Post by: d112crzy on June 05, 2009, 09:47:35 AM
www.crzytuning.com/bins (http://)

Free for anyone to upload/download their bin files. At the moment, I only have a crome directory, so if you'd like for me to make a different directory let me know and it can be done.

Don't have to go to xenofag anymore.

I've saved myself countless hours of grief by never using someone else's abortion of a tune as a basemap.  I've posted a few of my tunes up so that people could get a look and feel at timing and the shapes of fuel curves - but I don't even use those as basemaps on "similar" setups.

What I will do is a writeup on how to porperly make and tune your own basemap.

OOOo nice.  Minorthreat and I had 3 pitchers of beer and gave me a lesson on some tuning.  But i still have quite a few questions, especially regarding things like cold start enrichiment, accel enrichments and shit like that.  Low load spark map cells, cruse afrs ect.

Thx jd

x2. I used to use peoples basemaps when I first got started but I quickly learned that it was 100x easier and faster to make my own.

The premise is the same, injector offsets exist on Crome.  I can do both.

I'm down for helping too.  Needs to have password protected upload or some shit, or a way for an admin to validate an upload and make it public.  Files need to have descriptions.  Would be nice to have a mysql-driven thing where you can narrow down search results by like MAP sensor type, B,D, etc, and also fuck your mother.

I actually made a .BIN uploading software a while back.  I probably got it around here somewhere.

Comments/Suggestions?  Pardon my erratic note-taking

FileTypes
FTid - autoincrement int
FTName - varchar 50
FTType - varchar 50 (Software, Add-on, BIN, Other)

Softwares
SWid - autoincrement int
SWName - varchar 50 (i.e. Crome, BRE, Uberdata)

Engines
EngineID - autoincrement int
EngineSeries - varchar 10 (B-series, D-series, K-series)

FileApproved - boolean
EngineID - 0 for n/a or EngineID
MAPsize - varchar map sensor size
INJsize - varchar injector size
FileDesc - varchar 500 (details of tune)
EngineID - related to EngineID

opening page - shows FileTypes, from there have search box with software type, engine series, list files. Might be nice to have a comment box for each file

It's obvious these things are prey to being hacked, and websites go up and down.  I'd really like to have two identical archives.

Sure? no. Suspicious they could have been? yes.

In other news I got another part time joerb so progress will probably slow down on this a bit.   The forum integration shit works, which is pretty sweet.  It'll recognize RHMT forum users, admins, etc.  Should be able to set the .BIN shit admin ability per user within SMF somehow.  Gotta figure out a way to get the RHMT banner to show at the top of the page, among other things.

I got it to the point where it's ready for alpha-testing.

Currently it doesnt have software-upload support, only .BINs and the Makes and Softwares are all databased and manageable through the interface.

2.0 will have software upload support and hopefully a comments section for each .BIN

Just emailed Jeff asking for cPanel access.  We'll see how that goes.  IMO its pretty sweet.

Yeah, it'd be a little more work in the beginning but I think it'd be worth it.

The bin repositories I've seen are a pain in the ass to browse through.  Would be nice if you could put in your setup and get a listing of bins sorted by the most similar setups...
