So, I have some Weir traction bar flanges that take a 2" OD pipe, but IDK where to get anything like that afterhours. As in tonight, ASAP. All the Burger King handicap bathroom handrail is 1.5" OD and that doesn't cut it.
-
the pole that the handicap sign is bolted to outside of the burger king. ::)
-
home depot and lowes arent open that late?
-
lop of the dicks of everyone in your shop
if you band about a dozen of em together youll get your 2" od
then buy up a couple dozen 80ocs and chase em with the traction bar flangers then you will truly od in style 2"" or otheddriwise
-
What about the old swing frame outside? Isnt it 2" and has a nifty curve to it?
As seen here. Ignore colt and dseries. Thats another thread.

My house on TOP of the mountain. (aka king of the trailer park)

The nearest street/road sign is 2 miles away. Try again.

So you need something asap, but do not want to leave the trailer park?
More pictures of things around the trailer park.

You could do exhaust pipe, but that would be super sketch.
-
any abandoned trailers out there on the mountain? electrical conduit would serve your purpose.
-
home depot and lowes arent open that late?
Black iron pipe was my first choice, but the largest they have is 1.25" which is 1.625" OD. Too small. Further, I want something beefy which fencepost isn't... that shit is fragile.

I don't mind going down the road, but the steel suppliers are closed for the day.
Pictures from the trailer park won't help... this is the sort of place where they wave and like you a lot until you cross their property line, then you die.
-
that is shitty. i can't believe they don't carry 1.5" pipe, which is the closest you're going to get @ 1.9" od. did you ask them about steel conduit? it's around 30$ for a 10' section up here iirc.

Outside hand railing on a ledge of some sort, or the ones that go up stairs at banks, and library's and shit.
-
Not that I really condone it but maybe something from a park or playground, those places are usually made out of some kind of tubing. Of course I know you wouldn't do something to hurt a child. Maybe like a building with outdoor stairs.
-
I wouldn't hurt a child, true, but I would steal a child's toy without a second thought.
The portable sawzall's battery is almost charged, keep the ideas flowing gentlemen.

Uebermass: If you're not willing to rock something thats blatantly unsafe as a structural and suspension supporting member, what kinda of RHMT member are you?

What about a handle from a floor jack.

Pole from a parking meter

Then steal all the quarters.
park benches? Some of them are made of some heavy duty steel... go by your local prison and steal the bars off the windows. :P
-
Not bad, but I'm guessing that might fall short of 2" OD. On some, anyway, they do come in a variety of diameters. As well as the majority of them being segmented; I need 3" more or less exactly. But, that's a very very good idea all the same, Sir Thomas.

Why the rush?

Go to the wal mart and buy cheap baseball bats

you have a lathe, so hustle...

fyi for further notice, home depot keeps its overstock pipe out back, usually gated, sometimes not, depending on location. also, the vid cameras are 75% fake. you can just roll up in the back on a saturday night and have at it, saturday night cuz no night crew. or maybe its sunday night. the night when there's no cars out front at 2am would be your best bet. pipes come in bundles of a few dozen, tightened down with metal straps. tin snips go right through the straps. however, wrap the pipes with rope as tight as you can BEFORE cutting the straps, that shit springs apart as soon as you cut em open and they are fucking loud. also, bring a ladder, sometimes its 8 or 12 feet up on the racks. in n out in 2 minutes though
this also works really well with lumber, block, bricks, concrete, bark, soil and other piping. most of it is just shrink wrapped or strapped. these items are never locked up either

The satellite dish mount, possibly 2"

Striper pole; but dont know why you would cut one up :noel:
