Don't be such a faggot pussy.  Stock 4-wheelers go over 45mph.  My LTR does 82mph and that's setup for dirt.  This thing is as stable as it gets and if your even afraid to ride a stock bike then you need to GTFO.

I don't post shit I didn't work on.  I may do a job like a lot of people do a job, but aside from Aaron Lail you have to drive ~3 hours to get anyone with half my skill.

MAPquest fails you, and Mr Wadsworth has a few perspectives I disagree with, based on his ASSumption that AEM does everything correctly.

I've helped alot over the years with this bike from tuning, wrenchtime and building the thing to what it is today.  The bike did have a 421 Powervalve cheetah motor.  He was going to just drag port that motor until I found a 16mil crank and drag ported cheetah jugs which got it to the point it is today.  The bike even has my front rims on it.

Then, fuck, give us build specs on it.  One picture, a timeslip, and an admittedly poor video is a deliberate tease.

I see he relocated to raleigh, even still the drive could be done in ~3hrs.   I am excited to get my hands on the next gen aems though.

He lives in Benson, which is the far side of Raleigh, and was 5 hours the last time I drove.  I can't even make Hickory in under an hour and fifteen - the traffic here is turning shitty.

I'll see how many I remember:

-610cc Cheetah motor
-Cheetah drag ported jugs
-16mm crank
-Billet Cases
-45mm Carbs
-Billet bowels
-1-4 Override Trans
-+12 swingarm
- -3 +2 A-Arms
-shortened axle w/ roundhouse carrier
-18t front 42t rear sprocket (going to change to 17t front)
-120 octane

I'm probably forgetting alot but the only thing left that's stock is the frame and shift forks.

How much power does it make?

Why did he build that one rather than stuff a gsxr, r6, cbr 600cc bike motor in it?
Title: Re: 10.9 @ 116

My friend Stuart has an 04 Honda 400 EX with an R6 engine in it.  He hasn't cleaned it up fully yet, but even stretched and on slicks it doesn't run that fast in the 1/8th.  His best is a 7.4 @ 94 or so.  It might stroll on by on the back half of the 1/4, but probably not.  6 tenths difference in the 1/8th is a hell of a lead to try and overcome.

Quad motors make torque or something?
Title: Re: 10.9 @ 116
Post by: Joseph Davis on September 28, 2009, 12:34:05 AM
No, it's a traction thing.   While the quad is fucking stout it's not making R6 power.  As such, it doesn't boil off the tires.

#1 reason why all the 10.5" Outlaw guys are ditching the big blocks in favor of small blocks.

Never been on the dyno but people with similar setup's on P.S. are getting around the 140whp range.

Bike motors are gay compared to 2-strokes.  O0   The powerband on this bikes makes it 1000 times more fun to ride then a bike motor.  and also It really comes down preference.  The same reason why people run Honda's instead of rwd V8's.  Plus this motor makes more power then a 600cc bike with half the engine weight.

Lol, you need to read up on 2-stroke motors.  When this bike had the 421cc motor it was making more then R6 power.  A 421 puts down 90-100whp all day on pump gas.  Hell, 2 years ago at quadfest the final round was between a 421cc Banshee and a Quadzilla with an R1 motor and the Banshee smoked him.  And he was running an R1 motor.  Just becuase it came from a motorcycle doesn't mean it's automatically faster and more powerful

You're right, I know jack shit about two strokes.
