Minnesota

Permit to purchase handguns/assault rifles. Duration: 1 year.
$100 background check.

(Carry permit) good for 5 years. Overrides permit to purchase.
$130? 6 hr class of bullshit, $100 for the police background check, and as a "shall issue" state, it's got to be in your hands  30 days from application if nothing on your record prevents it, but then, I'm white.  :noel:

you still have to take the NRA safety course, get fingerprinted and the whole nine yards.  its almost $300 when all is said and done.

thats the impression im under. you can only own a pistol 2 ways in CT. have a pistol permit or a permit to purchase a pistol and then you can only purchase a pistol and transport it to your residence where it must remain aka cannot carry it around for any reason other then to transport it to a range.

woohoo for florida.  Walk in and buy most any gun no permit needed for shit.  They just do a quick check you and thats it.  Maybe a special permit for assault rifles but I wouldnt know since I havnt tried to get one.

Concealed carry permit only cost me 100  O0

pistol permit = concealed carry. technically CT is supposed to be open carry, im not willing to take the chance of loosing my permit because some liberal faggot freaks out that i have a gun.

permit to purchase = you can purchase a pistol but not carry it.

Qik, you're a dipshit. Nobody carries a gun to piss other faggots off. They're for defense. Open carry is one of the most defense-less things I can think of, outside of being a homo. The element of surprise, when it counts, is history.

Given the choice to carry no gun, or one "open carry", I'd conceal it, and tuck my shirt in if a cop was to need to know. (aka, I shot someone). Open carry is for Random Strike hillbilly bastards needing an ego boost. Yeah, they're still my people, but fuck...  :-\

because i dont need people to know im carrying. plus pissing off liberal whiny faggots = breach of peace in CT = them taking your permit and jumping throught hoops to get it back

its actually seven days to the minute. they cant legally release it till then. on my first pistol i was told to wait 5 minutes because my receipt said a certen time and so it wasnt exactly seven days yet

Yea I had to do an interview, and I think I might still have to speak to a judge or something.  Your county may be different though.

When i first went in to get the fingerprinted, the cop told me i could literally stop people leaving the jail/sheriffs building and have them be my character witnesses.  The trick is, they need to sign the shit and it needs to be notarized.  I sorta cheated and had people i "know" at the bank be my witnesses since they also notarize shit at the bank lol.  It helps that my wife works there too.  For the "reasoning" the guy who i took the class with basically said to write "I request an unrestricted permit for use while hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, target shooting, and other lawful purposes"

The stink of it is that they want you to put a deposit on a gun beforehand.  I figured i didnt want to make silly payments on a gun and piss off the store, so i paid in full right away.  Now i "own" a gun but cant use it since it sits locked in the stores gun safe.

Fuckdammit thats a lot of garbage. I know drug dealers and shit who just drive out of state and buy serious weaponry at gun shows and drive back to ny. Obviously its illegal, but it is easy as fuck to acquire guns illegally. I might as well get the ball rolling now, since it looks like there will be snow on the ground again next time I get this shit done ><

Just buy a class III weapon.  Then go kill your government.  Then run for government.  Then pass state laws to allow you to carry said class III weapon openly every day

They're not scammers you moron.. You went to a gun store and tried to buy a gun with a known crime on her record (and not just the DV) that would keep you (Her), from being able to do it in the first place... THEN you (she) signed the fucking paper agreeing not only to the 100 restock, but the check reimbursment too...

You havent been scammed unless you dont get the money before they are supposed to give it to you, by SIGNING the agreemnet in the first place.

By the way... The stock Mag holds 30, The xtended one held 42... you  O0      :-*

In WA it will, but I dont think THATS what the issue was... SHe has to (and has i believe) appealed the process to find out what the fuck is going on, but they dont make mistakes about who can have guns and who cant, if they deny you, you have something that needs to be adressed.

By LAW, neither he OR she should even have a firearm in the house. Period. Not till this is made right anyways... Not a rifle, shotgun, pistol... NOTHING with the possible exception of a muzzle loader IIRC

Yea, they can give you restricted ones at the judges discretion that limit you to having the gun on you at certain times.  Example: target shooting, hunting, etc.

Unrestricted is basically a license to carry concealed at all times, not that I plan on doing so.
