was 58bucks for me. filled out some papers, couple finger prints, hour or so of my time wasted... shit even got it 3 days later... bought a gun that weekend, got to walk out the store with it...
One reason why I love WA. Had mine in under a week, with only $60 or so out of pocket  :noel:

Dumb is a better word for Johnny.  I doubt he's been anywhere except for his house, his parents house, and Vegas in his entire life.  Now he claims to know the laws of the 51 states.

I live in NY too (orange county)...its probably been at least 6 months since i first started the process for getting my pistol permit, and about 4 since I handed everything in and went in for the interview with a detective.  good luck.

fucking garbage
im hopin they go easy on me since i work as an AO in pa, but the ny version of going easy is taking 4 months -_-

do you really have to interview with a dt? i figured they just got all your info and shit and you just wrote your reasoning and shit on paper. any tips for picking people to be witnesses or w/e?

Yea I had to do an interview, and I think I might still have to speak to a judge or something.  Your county may be different though.

When i first went in to get the fingerprinted, the cop told me i could literally stop people leaving the jail/sheriffs building and have them be my character witnesses.  The trick is, they need to sign the shit and it needs to be notarized.  I sorta cheated and had people i "know" at the bank be my witnesses since they also notarize shit at the bank lol.  It helps that my wife works there too.  For the "reasoning" the guy who i took the class with basically said to write "I request an unrestricted permit for use while hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, target shooting, and other lawful purposes"

The stink of it is that they want you to put a deposit on a gun beforehand.  I figured i didnt want to make silly payments on a gun and piss off the store, so i paid in full right away.  Now i "own" a gun but cant use it since it sits locked in the stores gun safe.
bought the wife a AR-15 this weekend with 2 40round mags and a case turned out she has a D.V. on her record they denied her the weapon the fucked up part was we had already bought it so we owned it but store couldnt release it to her so we returned it they charged us a 100dollar restock fee on the weapon 25%on the accesories and to top it all off they mailed me out a check for 936.00 from corprate fucking SCAMMERS

They're not scammers you moron.. You went to a gun store and tried to buy a gun with a known crime on her record (and not just the DV) that would keep you (Her), from being able to do it in the first place... THEN you (she) signed the fucking paper agreeing not only to the 100 restock, but the check reimbursment too...

You havent been scammed unless you dont get the money before they are supposed to give it to you, by SIGNING the agreemnet in the first place.

By the way... The stock Mag holds 30, The xtended one held 42... you  O0      :-*

In WA it will, but I dont think THATS what the issue was... SHe has to (and has i believe) appealed the process to find out what the fuck is going on, but they dont make mistakes about who can have guns and who cant, if they deny you, you have something that needs to be adressed.

By LAW, neither he OR she should even have a firearm in the house. Period. Not till this is made right anyways... Not a rifle, shotgun, pistol... NOTHING with the possible exception of a muzzle loader IIRC

Yea, they can give you restricted ones at the judges discretion that limit you to having the gun on you at certain times.  Example: target shooting, hunting, etc.

Unrestricted is basically a license to carry concealed at all times, not that I plan on doing so.
