Fuck, I made this thread and then my pic links did'nt work. Will fix when I come home. In the meantime, enjoy this review of the build from the thread on the lexus forum :evil:
UPDATE - PICS POSTED
1. Don't have a Russian work on anything Mechanical.
2. Don't have a guy named Yuriy and his bottle of vodka work on your car.
3. JB weld is used for temporary fixes. Not to hold pressure over long term.
4. Even though it looks like it, tin foil is not heat wrap.
5. You will never get the metal shavings out of that engine. Ever.
6. I want to know how long it took to bang that hole out.
7. I want to know how long you think this will last.
8. I want to know if you even own a drill. I don't see a single drilled hole.
9. You punched a 4" hole through two sheets of steel with only a hammer and a screwdriver. I want to know what makes you think we'll believe you soldered those wires.

im waiting on derek to pop in injectors and drop it off at his tuners... this build was done 95% by me, which is more than I can say for anything else i've worked on so I'm pretty proud
there will be rippers and or destruction footage incoming, ive got a good feeling about this bad bitch
the turbo and everything else is chinese, the turbo is a t70 imo, or one of those chinese t - 6x turbos that dont really exist

even though is300 are the equivalent of a top model civic, i still would have at least used a hole saw. the rest looks fine
tell your boy to put a hose clamp around the bov and pipe to hold it down, then you dont have to worry about it blowing off under pressure.

Haltech is very much not the only thing an IS300 can be tuned on.

he used to have an emanage ultimate, if he still had that shit installed we'd have been doing lolo cholo rippers by now, oh well
I was going to pick up an sc300 after I sell the BMW, but now I'm thinking an IS is an option fo sho.

I wasn't talking about the AEM FIC. I would not recommend an AEM FIC, or any other piggyback, for an IS300.

I like how some of those guys are making over 500hp, and still only running high 10's and 11's. And they even have RWD, so there is no excuse there I used to want an IS300, mostly for the "nice looking RWD sedan that isn't german" thing. Fuck that, Lexus people are retarded snobs.

Yes JB weld looks like shit but the stock motor will blow to pieces well before the blowoff valve ever flies off from too much pressure. Anyone who works on their own car and not overpay a shop to do it for them would know the answer to that question.

Its so fucking stupid that they think there is some stigma behind being a is300 owner/driver, as there is some "code of conduct" you have to live by, or some 'unwritten law' that must be obeyed, its a fucking car, and anyone with enough money can own one, I paid $5k out of the $11k that it cost for my exgf to buy one (yes i am stupider than mike, we can all agree on that) and they are extremely over hyped, the powersteering doesnt work very well, the car is slow as piss, the tapshift is laggy, the stock 5speed trans(doesnt even have a fucking 6 speed) is a glassbox, the interior is far from gorgeous, they dont get great gas milage (unlike turbo 5.0's, er twin turbo), the stock CD player ALWAYS BREAKS, i could go on and on. Those cars are FUCKING GIRL cars, which is why I convinced my ex to buy it, because it FITS HER. They are fuckin girl cars, just like miata's and audi TT's are gay mans cars. Certain cars are for certain people/types of people.
In the end, that site is full of fuck face, circle jerking, ball gargling faggots, and even a turbo is300 does not ungay them, or even get them close to the point of ungayness. If anything, them turboing it makes them more faggots because then they think their car is hotshit and its now 'fast' and ubercool y0 m4d jDMMM

I wonder if this car outlasts my BMW. BMW engine 1 was 4k at too much boost, engine 2 was 8k and counting at just enough boost. The IS300 is at 1.5kish with DD style 10 pounds, waiting for 15 pounds of DD love.
