I see the AEM thingy but I dont know how I feel about it since it is just a piggyback, and between the unit and harness they still run like $600+. Do you know of any other decent options, and I'm not MS'ing it.

I wasn't talking about the AEM FIC.  I would not recommend an AEM FIC, or any other piggyback, for an IS300.

Yes JB weld looks like shit but the stock motor will blow to pieces well before the blowoff valve ever flies off from too much pressure.  Anyone who works on their own car and not overpay a shop to do it for them would know the answer to that question.
