the formula SAE team was wanting me to give them info on & make their intake & intake manifolds, clean up the chassis work, give your basic general help & input. cure some wiring & tuning problems, see about their exhaust, where they can save some weight & keep strength up, maybe take a look at their ports.
might help the aerodynamics section out. they're wanting to change the FG body to CF; i think its a bad idea. CF is not structural so it does not need the strength. it needs to be as light as possible & CF is much heavier than FG is compairing the same weaves. so possibly remake it in very thin, super lightweight FG weaves, or make it out of EPP or EPS foam reinforced with wood & thin FG where need be. shape/aero wise i can't really help them but ive been doing enough RC planes to know wood, fiber & foam construction methods, in general how they hold up at speed, where they need reinforcing.
