great news from the whitehouse
« on: March 25, 2009, 09:49:28 AM »

Those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account—to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day—because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.
                                              – President Barack Obama

yea dude it would be so sweet if Palin was in charge, then they'd have nothing at all to roll over about.  McCain would have solved everyone's problems AND given us each 5k$ by now if Obama hadn't gotten all those votes from stupid people.

Makes me so angry at stupid people... how they ruin it for all us smart people who voted McCain.

blah blah...

Not that I like Obama or anything but with the way Bush left the white house ANYONE who got elected president was fucked. Bush just dragged the issues out and swept them under the rug until the new guy came in started snooping around.

The direction Obama is going trying to fix this mess is the direction of Communism and complete government control.

He wants to control your banks, healthcare, and insurance companies right now.  What's next?

His cap and trade bullshit he's trying to get passed does nothing except raise your electricity bill and put and unnecessary tax on energy.

It's also designed to make the guys he's in bed with in Chicago rich as fuck, because they have some kind of interest in a power company and this new bullshit allows them to sell their rights to burn coal to other companies for a ridiculous price.  It will not fix anything.

The redistribution of wealth and increasing government control have us headed directly to socialism / communism.

If I saw Obama in person I'd only have three words to say to him.  Free Market Capitalism.  Upon hearing those three words said one after the other, he would most likely melt into a puddle of communist goo and return to the mother land.

Yes, he's dealing with issues that started before he took office.  Yes, it's a big task.

No, he isn't actually fixing anything.

So far we have bailouts, earmarks, and a shitty stimulus plan that only seems to stimulate Nancy Pelosi.  This nigger isn't doing anything right.

I think even the public knew what Bush had left before Obama took office,  In all actuality, had 911 not happened, I think the recession would have hit in 01.  Our active engagement in war has kept the economy rolling along till the main war was wrapping up.  Look at how the great depression started.
The President is supposed to say yes or no to shit, and suggest ideas for laws, taxes, etc.  Congress writes them, or is supposed to.

Every president since Woodrow Wilson has only been a figurehead. Like a mannequin he doesn't do shit, they our chosen way before the election and vetted. Scalleywags and Carpetbaggers, same party system and the same crooks.

Excellent way of stating that point.

Same crooks, yes. However, everything hes said, hes done the exact opposite. Take the ear mark comment for example.
