Last Friday a kid at a middle school around here shot another in the back of the head and killed by another middle schooler.

Today, so far, supposedly 3 killed and 1 injured by a faculty member at UAH during a faculty meeting.

Anti-gun folks are going to have a field day with this...

I agree with the gun control Nazi's. Sadly 98% of the time you only hear about shootings in this case which people get all pissy about. You don't hear how the criminal, who follows gun control laws to the T, shots people everyday with his "borrowed 9"

I was watching the live stream on whnt's website, but I'll be damned if I couldn't find a way to close their stupid chat window on the right side. Full of anti-gun nuts showing ignorance, gun-nuts that were showing ignorance, and religious talking about "don't bring god into this he gave people free will" and "bless those families!!" and "oh lawdy hallaluyuhz" One person said, "if you're going to someone's tenure meeting, leave your gun at home!!!11" Right, so a teacher that did bring hers can shoot you

We can't carry guns in Canada but I always carry a pocket knife cause:
a) it's handy to have and always comes in handy
b) I want to have more than a pencil to defend myself if someone starts shooting at my University

I was watching it too, well rather listening to it while browsing in other tabs. The fucking popping from that chat pissed me off, until I figured out how to mute it. But yes, there were some goddamn retarded mother fuckers chatting in there.

A shooting rampage in Canada would consist of a long arm

He has to reload sometime, and I think it would take more than 1 bullet to take bnorth down. He could prob slit his throat before he had to reload

I didn't say I was going to attack a shooter. But if I'm taking refuge in a class or something I would rather have a knife on me than a pencil. Stand beside a doorway and stab the fucker when they walk through. I'm not going to run at him while he opens fire.

No we have shitloads of guns. Just not many auto weapons, auto weapons converted to semi auto, or handguns. We have mostly hunting rifles and shotguns. You need a special permit to own weapons with a length under 18.5". And even with a restricted permit you are only supposed to transport them from home to the shooting range and home again. So basically the most mobile firearm we can transport, keep in a vehicle etc legally is a home defender style shotgun.
