i purchased similar type vbands and when i went to tighten them, the studs on all 3 snapped right off, i ended up having to reweld on new bolts to whatever was left of the original screw, wansnt fun at all, be careful with quality, as long as you can find something with the bolt size similar to a 12mm not a 10mn youll be good

We buy the best (read: most expensive) clamps we can get - (US made clampco clamps), but even we strip & break them too. Less often then the import ones, but they aren't bullet proof for sure.

gonna be ordering some 3" v-bands this summer when I redo my downpipe. One's getting welded onto the turbine, and another mid-way down the downpipe so it can be taken apart to allow for turbo removal without getting under the car and dropping the exhaust. I ordered a bunch of bends from them a while back and was very pleased with them. Glad I saw this thread.
