i keep throwing belts, all the time, ive been through like 4 in the last couple weeks, and a pile since i first built the car. im ready to unload a couple clips from the AR into it and throw road flares under it...

i have replaced, crank pulley, alternator, alt bracket, alt pulley, and still it destroys the belt... if i keep the car under like 4500 it seems to last alot longer, but its no fun to drive.

the last set-up i stole from the junkyard, with a belt that looked as old as the car, i took the crank pulley, alternator w/pulley and alt bracket, transplanted it into the failboat and it isnt any better.

am i overlooking something?

take the belt off and take a 2 foot flat edge to the pullys(crank/alt) and have your friend push down on the clutch pedal....

i wondered about it, but it seems ok, and its done it with the old motor and the new one, even when it was fresh, and its not exactly a DSM

94 accord coupe, F22a bottom end, F22 crank, H22 rods, 4g63 stroker pistons, F20B head

Its not crankwalk. Had the same issue. Wasnt crankwalk... Give me a call later ill explain, but in a nutshell which alt are you using f or h???

Do you have the stock tensioning thingamabob on the alternator? I had a bit of flop on mine when I only used a nut to tighten the alternator on the bottom. I went through 3 belts before I swapped the stock tensioner thingamabob and haven't had an issue since.

Im Running all F series shit on my pile (Crank pulley, Alt, etc... Obviously H bracket) with the SMALL pulley on the alternator. Since ive done that and keep the belt GOOD AND TIGHT... no issues, but mine used to like to come offthe inside (you could tell as the timingh covers would be worn on alot where the belt rode).

My ALT belt is prob a tad tooo tight, but no more issues.

ill go through all my shit again then and try a new combo, i know the mark you are talking about on the cover, i have 3 of them and they are all cut where the belt caught them... HAHA

ill see if i have a small alt pulley.. i know i have a handful of all that shit... the only there wasnt issues was when the original F20B was in there with the unorthadox shit, and it never tossed a belt, even turning 9200... haha...
