Anyone in the greater midcal area hiring?
« on: February 07, 2012, 11:29:14 PM »

I wanna give my boss the finger at the shop I work at.   Worst part is he's a good friend of mine.

Long story short he is turning a situation that is his fault; and a problem caused by another tech.... And directing all the blame and problems on me, cursing because I did not accomplish a 8+ hour job in 2.5 hours.  There's way more, but this is the lumber that broke my trailer.

I am looking for a lube tech, light duty, heavy duty, motorcycle, engine/trans rebuilding, performance install, performance tuning, or service writer/customer service position.

I have several years in the field, a full compliment of tools, a subscription to alldata pro, and a great knowledge of all the above.

A reasonable, trustworthy, and clean work environment is something I strive to find.  I don't want another location that leaves messes, looses shop tools, looses MY tools without even asking to use, etc....

I am presently living in an RV and can relocate.

Hit me.

I have everything but a press to do it...  Have rebuilt several already :)

Checking pm's.

I am trying to avoid moving north... But there are a ton of Vallejo and northbay jobs available...

Most require ASE's,  I haven't had the time for school, though I believe if I skim a semesters book in an hour I'll pass any test...  Have the field work to qualify for the ASE.  Was thinking of becoming a straight smog tech, and going to school for that...  I know a lot more than most durr da durr smog techs do about fixing emissions.

Who needs a press? I don't have one.

James@Gearspeed asked me if I was interested in moving to Cali, I don't think he was joking!

What kind of RV setup you dealing with? I wish to figure something out to travel to the west coast and also bring my tools and skills to builds trannys on the way. Except for the upfront cost a MB/Dodge Sprinter is best idea so far, 22-23 mpg if you keep it under 70 mph.

Camp on BLM land for free, like a gypsy.

American Nomads from BBC, I'm sure you understand.

I'm in an 87 Hawking.  Basically top notch when it was made... Has a reverse camera/tv... For an 87 that's way cool... Lol.  Pretty long (34+?) and decently but not too wide, no pop outs.  Need to get a tow-behind hitch for my DelSol, need to either sell or prey the '74 makes it there on its oem engine that's duct-taped together...

I'll give em a call, see what the gig is :)
