No skid marks into a brick wall my guess is he wanted to die or was already dead by other means before he hit the wall.  That wasn't a glancing angle or a caught something by drifting off the road.  That's a direct hit, there's no way you didn't see that coming

Also potentially a heart attack could do the same, where the driver is worrying too much about their chest exploding then wrecks.

how many times do you hear of drunk driving accidents where the drunk walks away and the other peoplke end up dead.

towwdog, i towed many a car that looked like the driver should be DOA...   cant say for sure though.  if dude wasnt belted in, they yeah. he's dead.

people die due to them bracing themselves. Learned that in a driver improvement course. Thats why 90% of the time, drunk people who pass out and crash, usually walk away/survive at the least.


Natural reaction is to tense up, and brace yourself. thats also what kills people.
