Well If I had to just pick one off of the shelf I would pick the 92-95 civic Si trans only because it has the .750 5th gear insted of the .702 that the ex has. Its real only about 5mph differance at like 3k rpms on the freeway.


with 24.5" tall tires


ex trans in 5th at 3k =73.32mph
Si trans in 5th at 3k = 68.63mph

slicks on the highway... BALLER.

Something that Blundell told me that Bone told him is that in the Z6 trans you break shift forks but in the Y8 trans you break gears. Which is cheaper to fix?

issue is resolved i ended up getting a 92si parts car with slight front end damage for only $500!
