turbo manifold
« on: May 18, 2014, 03:39:27 AM »

So my car must have been on the boats deck when being shipped over here, and my turbo manifold as really destroyed. It started to crack and I’m looking into a replacement until I can ship it back home to have it repaired since no one here has a welder. I was trying to stay with the ramhorn, but I have always had an equal length. Has anyone used a twisted ranhorn and if so what did you think. The only reason I would go with it is for the 50mm ports over the equal length one giving my 45mm.

Most of you know my setup but if it helps:
6262 turbo
stock sleeved bore gsr 11.0:1 comp
type r head all aftermarket
type r cams
3in turbo back exhaust
If you need more info ask.

i have found a german place that does welding but they are a 2 hour drive away. I was just trying to see what kind of manifolds everyone is using, but i would like to stay with a ramhorn manifold.
I would get my own welder but i cant find a place to purchase the gas.

Contact the Spanish nog Walter, he can weld that.

You would have to send manifold to or go to Spain.  :noel:

Spain is a drive, Its also cheaper to send it back home then it would be to Spain. Since technically I'm on US soil and it would be international shipping.

I would just pull it off send it to some shop state side that u trust and then have them ship it back. You would only be down like 2 weeks and maybe a little cash but everything would bolt right back up.

There is a car care center but they only have lifts and tools. So i can do almost anything to my car. I'm also located in Ansbach, Germany. Its 2 hours north of munich and about 3-4 hours east of the Nurburgring.

I've lived in BK, K-town, Stutgart Dexhiem, Gelnhausen, Buddigen, Mainz, and Wiesbaden. Back when there was still an east and west Germany. I like to go back and visit.  :noel:
