Im thinking of trying this. Have any of you nogs tried it?  I need a bov that wont leak at 25psi or more, and ive heard people have had them hold way over 30psi if you do the mod.  Basically id rather spend $200 elsewhere than on a new Tial bov, at least for now.

I've done it, works great! I had a crushed BOV for a while and then got another to do the proper mod. Before I would just get compressor surge under 5 psi part throttle boosting, but with the dodge garage mod it opens at all boost levels and works like stock again without leaking. I run 25 psi with no problems.

This is a very old, and well proven mod.  If you have a high boost car with a 1g valve you should be doing it. 

Dont crush em, its a waste when you could do the DG mod.

thats pretty tight. unfortunately i doubt ill ever need that much boost.

super easy and cheap mod to do.  a few tools and 2 dollars in parts.  jb weld is involved so it's just that much easier

Has anyone ever just JB welded the hole shut and not drilled an atmospheric vent? I assume you wouldn't get any of the "fast response" they're talking about.

i would assume that it would sort of be like vented to the atmosphere, except it would be a closed vessle whos pressure would change slightly based on temp and what not.  doesn't sound like a brilliant idea considering how easy it is to add the atmospheric vent

i seen some one selling a 1g not to long ago for 25 shipped with this mod. i had no idea what that thing sticking out of it was for. i think it was on d-series.org or something
