Same here. Tried out the stock ROM for one day before trying out a few different custom ones, currently the Energy ROM is the best IMO.

haha i lasted about 3 hours befor i stuck one of the mightyrom's on mine, also rocking the carbon fiber theme. love my touch pro, never lets me down.

Have you ever tried Energy ROM? I used mightyROM for a while before trying others and ended up liking it the most, it's all a matter of preference though. Here's a link to it if you aren't familiar with it

You do have an unlimited data plan right? Teathering will jack your bill to teh fucking moon if you dont, and some providers charge you a separate bill for doing it. Best to read the fine print if you havent yet.

AFAIK Blackberries "require" the data plan along with iphones and android phones.

Yeah, but for Verizon there are two dataplans, and I'm sure it's structured similarly with other providers. There's the one I have where I can do anything I want with regards to the phone, but the instant I hook it up as a modem I bend over and pay. For $30 more I get the exact same deal only I don't get assraped if I use the phone as a modem. For both "data plans" minutes still apply.

http://www.junefabrics.com/palmnet/ is one example. It's a trial, but I've only needed it when my internet was down for a few hours, then I just reinstall later and reset the clock. There are trackers for phone software that would probably have it, if you cannot find freeware.

as long as you have an unlimited data plan and can find 3rd party software for tethering, you don't need to pay them extra for tethering.

shit i had to reload the OS on my BB pearl twice. it started acting all stupid and randomly resetting then just shut off an dwouldnt turn back on for a few days, finally got it back on and loaded it with 4.5.2. well i guess my phone hates that what because it didn th esame thing so i had to roll back to 4.3. works great now

Sometimes its better to wipe the OS then reload it.

I never could get JL_CMDER to work right. Meh.

Yeah it will throw you for a loop when it doesnt come back on right away. Just pull the battery and wait a few minutes.
