Machida got his ass handed to him in 4/5 rounds by Shogun and the 3rd was the only POSSIBLE one Machida won.  I still give that round to Shogun, though it could have gone either way.  Shitty main event judging....

it was too close a fight to take away a title by decision, i think thats the only reason.

any other circumstance and shogun would have won.

Machida didn't get his ass handed. That was a close fight. I would have scored it a draw to be honest but the judges saw something we didn't.

leg blows are not a factor in a fight unless the leg gives out.

I gave the fight to shogun without a doubt, but this is what happens when you allow the fight to go into the judges hands. I was waiting for shougun to release the beast that he showed back in pride days, but it didn't happen. Instead he fought a smart fight with machida without winning the rounds convincingly enough. A dream of being champion killed because of weaksaucing.

Ok, Jardine vs Liddell.  Ok, Pat Barry vs anyone.  Ok, Griffin vs Rampage.

Low kicks have always been a legit way to beat someone.  So have power punches to the face.

true true any connected strike scores points

its the same as boxing. if a fight is THAT close, the decision will always go to the champ. but IMO Shogun should be the new light heavyweight champ.

People actually think Rampage won that fight regardless of the leg kicks. His leg did give from one of the shots. I agree with Kain though it was effective to prevent Machida from using footwork but not enough to win the fight with no questions.

Now Brock Lesnar has pulled out of his next fight vs Shane Carwin so UFC 106 is looking pretty crappy.

UFC has turned into a failfest; it's no longer MMA. think of it as a glorified WWF now

Rogers has a punchers chance of beating Fedor, but I bet Fedor wins via Armbar in the 1st round
