Crank Angle Board in ECU
« on: November 08, 2009, 05:46:27 PM »

Anyone ever replace a crank angle sensor board that's inside the ECU? I got a P28 for nothin because no matter what it throws te crank angle code and runs like shit. I traced the CYP input to the daughter board closest to the harness, but nothing looks jacked.

FYI the sensor is not the issue. I've tried all my other p05/p06/p28/p30 ecu's w/ and w/o a chip on a d16 and b16, it's just that ecu.

H1C1, referrence my discussions with kgx in this forum.

You obviously don't have p28.pdf, throw me an email.

^yup

Check the thread on running an f20c with an obd1 ecu, I posted the pins you can check in that thread. You should see a digital signal normally held to 5v on the outputs. I wanna say around 80% duty cycle if you check it with a dvm.

wat? ???

I actually read skimmed that thread not long ago, but I think I'm past the stage where I test pins. Even if I could, what would I be looking at since I don't have a scope? I definately need more help than what's posted, since I'm not an elec engineer.
