Just buy it. Its worth it. They are coded and need to be registered to use. They also need disc check every so many times.  Chris is a great guy to deal with. His customer service is second to none. He even called me on a Sunday to help me with an issue I was having. That is service.

Agreed, I have a copy and have only used it a couple times but they were really helpful to answer my questions.

Your copy is registered to your computer's MAC address. Make sure the computer you install it on is one that will be around for awhile. It's cheap software, even their SE LRA for commercial apps is only $600. It's not directly comparable to some of the more high-end tube bending packages, but we are talking about $15k software packages that it does ok against.

Machine ID is retarded in most cases (depending on what you base it on), I'd assume it's MAC. Nic cards last far longer than an OS install. The thing is you can change your MAC address on most OS's...

I know what your thinking JD, and yes you can MAC Spoof to fool it. You can also run a terminal server and dish up multiple sessions off one computer as well. Not speaking from experience.

That wasn't what I was thinking.  I was thinking, MAC address - huh??  The only thing I've ever used that went off of the MAC address of my NIC was Altera's Quartus II.

No it will mostly not install. You can use a program called crossover to get it to run.

Why not just install XP onto the Mac?  It should work then now that Macs and PCs are about 98% the same now-a-days.
