Thats why you shouldn't plan on using the first head you port on. lol. I have a few junk heads that I try new techniques/tools on before I go touch a head I'll be using.

Have you never used a spring compressor?

Chris what do you charge for portwork, or who would you suggest to go to? I've got 2 extra z6 heads laying here but want to port one for my car.

80+ bucks for manifold work

600 for a complete sohc heads. Nothing leaves without a valve job, decking the head, new seals+the port work.

that is the best vsc ever created, borrowed one once and i refuse to do another valve job with anything else.

I like the euroexport valve spring compressor, but it obviously doesn't work on the almighty D
