Ok, here's the deal:
I had:
header > test pipe > exhaust
Test pipe completely broke in half. Not at the welds, the steel slowly cracked apart until it was completely apart.
The O2 sensor was on the test pipe. The car is running like slow shit with the O2 disabled, and runs like shit with it enabled since air is getting into the exhaust at the crack and fucking the O2 readings.
I'm considering:
header > flex pipe > pipe with o2 bung welded > exhaust
Now, the flex pipe is of course the braided stainless steel type stuff. Will I need to worry about air leaking into it and fucking the o2 sensors or should it not be a problem? Does it matter if I have the O2 after the flex pipe?
