As long as I can still get my juarez on, I care not.  A less stable and less secure internet is in my best interest.

they all ready listen to everyone's phone calls, emails, credit card transactions, the last thing the government wants is anyone watching them. we all know that once Julian assange gets extradited the plane will do a touch and go in Sweden on its way to the us.

they have had 800mhz scanner band in place for almost 20 years on "the peoples air waves" even though you cant understand or decode shit anymore, and you can just modify or buy a scanner without it, and yet it remains. never mind the fact that making that argument in the first place was near impossible. to say it is illegal to receive something that is passing though your house, your own body, but for some reason (the constitution) everything else is fare game. or the idea that you have the assumption of privacy while communicating on a device WITH NO FUCKING WIRES is nothing more then protecting mass stupidity.

the point Im making is that the government dosnt give a shit who listens to your calls, they only care who listens to theirs. this dosnt have a dam thing to with mass media, copy right, or how many people refuse to pay to see shitty movies. it likely has allot more to do with Chinese communist party style absolute media control.

and if this was law today this thread would have to be deleted, but not because it is critical of law makers or the government, the owners of this site would be compelled to delete it because their is a two seconds of copyrighted music and a McDonnell's logo fifty feet away in the background of the posted clip. "see we are just protecting a business right to make money", "this isn't censorship, its just the government protecting your economic freedom" and strangely nothing else.

Interesting.

News of the little-known Pentagon program that practically gave away $500 Million worth of retired military equipment to local police departments last year prompts the question: What the heck are cops actually doing with tanks and grenade launchers?
