Isn't silicone on metal a bad idea? Promotes rust or some crap?
2-part silicone on aluminum or an easily corroded metal is a bad idea, but I tested it out a few years ago and it's still holding. I made a vibration damper for some HDD's kinda like a 1-piece metal-poly motor mount. I think the better silicone 2 from GE is the 1-part silicone. Anything for "doors and windows" will be okay too, as it's intended for aluminum flashing. However I'd probably go with polyurethane. Paintable, thicker, can deal with UV & temperature ranges better, etc.
Still, good deal on that. Not the asian food though, I can't stand it. Egg rolls literally make me throw up. I'd had nothing for 36 hours, took 2 bites...and somehow my stomach found stuff to expell.
