manifold is pretty neat i like... what kinda machine are you welding with?

1972 350 amp Union Carbide. AC/DC with high frequency start, factory water cooling and post flow. Put a modern water cooled torch setup on it and it welds like a boss. Probably the best machine I've ever welded with.

I'll snap a couple pics of it next time i'm at the shop.

I'm in no hurry because you haven't located an AWD dyno for us to tune on yet.

Good thing I oiled those injectors, they'd have rusted before you could use them.

Actually, I'm thinking about machining the head to accept 2 injectors per cylinder. So........i'm gonna need another set to sit around and collect dust.

Fuck ya. I love these old welders. Think I have $600 in this entire setup.

Not bad.

Are injectors gonna be staged or just paired to fire like normal?

Just batch fire for now. Might add sequential injection later.

Anyone know if I can remove this black plastic piece from my injectors?

Normal side-cutter.

Find the 2 seams, clip 2/3 of the way into the ring on both seams (clip all the way if you don't mind leaving marks), then you should be able to pull it off. You may need to sort of fork it with the side-cutter to pry it off, or make a few more cuts. That entire area is sturdy stainless steel, so any marks will be cosmetic.

Hey man. Totally stumbled across this build via google. I LOVE IT!! But I literally had to register just so i could ask why aren't you going with a laser tx3 awd set up? Not sure if anyone else has asked this but it just seems like it would've been so much easier. Also I saw your old video a LOOOOOOONG time ago. AWESOME BUILD MAN!!

Ok, so I'm not dead and I'm gonna be finally starting on this thing again. Its almost like a vendetta at this point.

Its crazy that its been almost two years since I've worked on it. Alot of shit has has happened since then. Got married, had a baby, now I got another on the way. Its rough being a responsible adult.

Finally got it into the garage.

Truck o parts. 1 of 3 loads I brought to my house, lol.

Been playing with other stuff. Just didnt have the space to work on the Escort till I got my garage done. Here are a couple.

The hauler. 2000 7.3. Has swamps 200cc single shot injectors. 5" exhaust. Intake. 6 position TS tuner with custom tune. Swamps fuel system. Swamps IDM. Runs pretty good.

Still playing around with this thing too. Would like to build an engine and make some power with it when the escort is done. Its a pretty fun ride.

Scooter. Bought this thing for super cheap. Dude had it all gayed out with ebay skulls n shit. Tore it completely down and this how it ended up.

Why I never really get to work on cars anymore.....

I've always liked your projects. I use to work on cars all the time. Then we had a kid and I went from about 15-20hrs a week fucking around in the garage to about 1 hr a week.

Thanks guys. I got some cool shit in mind for the engine and drivetrain.

Still don't know what I wanna do with the exterior. I can either go stock for that sleeper look or go for some cosworth styling. Something like this.

Leaning towards the sleeper look although if I do that, I won't be able to fit any real rubber under it.

If I did do a cosworth conversion, it would be low key. That cosworth is badass but not really what I'm looking for in this build.

I just like that I would be able to fit some nice tires under it with the cosworth fenders.

Guess I should just focus on the drivetrain for now.

Didn't work on the car, but got alot done so I can work on it.

Started building my ghetto $100.00 tig cooler.

Big pump circulates through the torch, little pump circulates water through the heat exchanger. Should work.....

Also got my heater installed....

....and got the work bench done and lathe setup.

Hoping to actually get cranking on the car this coming weekend  :noel:
