D16 450hp @ 8500rpm:
450 x 5252 / 8500 = 278 ftlbs
150.8 x 278 / 97 [1.6l] = 432 psi bmep
this is well past were you would want to seriously consider quitting with any engine running pump gas!
neon/420a 500hp @ 8000rpm
500 x 5252 / 8000 = 328 ftlbs
150.8 x 328 / 122 [2.0l] = 405 psi bmep
the last offy running @ 80inhg: [24psi] 770hp@9000rpm
770 x 5252 / 9000 = 449 ftlbs
150.8 x 449 / 159 [2.6l] = 425 psi bmep (hmmmmmm)
unlimited offy running @ (skys the limit)inhg 1100hp@11000rpm
1100 x 5252 / 11000 = 525 ftlbs
150.8 x 525 / 162 [2.65l]= 488 psi bmep (on methonal for fuck sake)

bmep is changed greatly by VE (pumping loss) and mechanical loss both of which are significantly lower on the offy than a d16. and in all fairness this is bench racing and these are just numbers being thrown around. but, this is something bisi should have done him self, if he is how great he says he is. any shop thats building a new race engine design, starts right here. whether it a dirt track car or a megadollar drag racing team, the frist thing they do is run some numbers so they know what there trying to do and compare it with other engines to tell just how possible it is. bisi donst even know what hes trying to do according to his statements.
