B16 diff in GSR transmission
« on: April 22, 2009, 11:15:03 PM »

Ive got a Quaife LSD in my b16.  The gears and syncros are shot, so I plan to put this LSD in my other GSR tranny.

Will the b16 LSD literally swap over, or do I need to get a different style of bearing to put the b16 LSD in a GSR tranny?

Also, if someone has a blown up diagram of a GSR tranny with part numbers that would be great.

Since its off right now, I plan to do the diff bearings, and the main and counter shaft bearings.

What about the GSR tranny having a tapered roller bearing at the diff and the B16 doesn't...or at least it looks as thought it doesn't.

knock the GSR tapered outer races out, installed the B16 Quafie, shim as needed.
