i doubt that the extra turbulence would make much of a difference as well just looks funky

if you dont mind me asking, what and how many bends did you buy to make that manifold.  I am going to be building a similar manifold for my H and i'd like to get an idea of how much pipe i need.

to build a shorty you need 5 1.5" sch 10 90's and just over a foot of straight. i cut the collectors at 3".

but snese your building a h22 manifold i have a pretty nice one imade for a guy. i will post up pics in  bit.
