CEL 43 Help?
« on: October 06, 2010, 07:00:36 PM »

The car is a 2000 si with b20 block and si head, and a crome base map. While cruising the interstate the CEL will come on and then go away when the car is turned off. It comes on almost evertime on the interstate. My crappy helms manual states check fuel supply, regulator and vacuum lines. I have checked all of that fuel psi is around 45psi at idle, and im at a loss on where to begin from here. Any suggestions?

p28 clone obd1 ecu, I've tried a few different maps on different chips with same results.

I got the same when I had Al shavings, and wiring harness was damaged.  O0

I believe the ECU picks up the issue when one of the inj. wires from the ecu A-plug is damaged.

That is what I would look at if you have already looked at the FPR, FP, fuel filter, and vac. lines.

Did you use low impedance inj. and a resistor box in this setup?

If so I would look at the solder wires at the resistor box also.

I think I got this CEL too last week but haven't search about it. Good thing to know.

It has stock injectors in it now, the car has been a wiring nightmare and hacked into by some ricers.
A new engine hardness has been installed along with stock injectors, it does have a CDM ebay conversion harness so I will check the pins as suggested! Thanks man.

The cell happen after a run at WOT and some boost. Maybe it's due to the vibrations from the engine?
