Truck Jump (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCfgx_krIo0&feature=player_embedded#normal)
-
Piece of Chev. That's what they get for only putting one tons under it.
-
wow. thats epic failure. maybe a guy with a 50k$+ truck shouldnt buy chinese suspention and bolts. is it just me or were the shocks being held in by one bolt? also why the fuck was he jumping that thing in the first place. wow what hillbillys do for fun. i bet johnny was there...
-
I lol'd :D
-
saw it already. pretty funny. those things are junk
even the a lot of the monster trucks break when they jump and they have massive amounts of money into them.
too much weight, too high off the ground. not much you can do
-
fucking shitbox chevy
-
That was on my offroad forum. From what I read most the suspension mounts in that truck were single shear garbage.
-
ive had as much air under my old k5 as that shitbox is tall and it didnt break...
what a fucking joke
-
The Duke boys did shit ALOT bigger than that once a fucking week. Charger FTW!
-
lol O0 :mexi:

That thing was in a magazine about a year ago and I commented then about all the lower shock mounts being week ass single shear, looks like I was right. I have jumped a 82 civic higher then that, seriously.

do you know how many cars that show went through
almost all of them
-
1?
-
And that big ass truck didn't even a cool Dixie horn. I'm just thoroughly let down.

Serisouly, what fucking truck jumps like a foot then the suspension falls off.
Monster trucks jump 10 feet in the air and worst case pop a tire. Go watch some fucking monster jam you dumb redneck.
-
Stock 1/2 ton K5 Blazer Chassis (HAD DANAS IN IT THOUGH :o), 396 CUin w/ TH400 T205 3" body lift 6" Skyjacker springs and triple ranchos all around with 38.5" SS TSLs... I lofted that thing at 35 MPH (OR WHATEVER ABOUT THE TOP OF 2ND WAS IN 4l) up river beds higher and taller than that truck and the only thing I ever broke was a tailshaft and a TC chain....

you're accusing a dumb redneck of not watching monster trucks?

It's funny that the guy that built that POS would be outdone by 1/2 the people on here with a Mig welder and a chop saw.

No i'm accusing you of being stupid for saying his pos show truck is anything like a monster truck. If it can't do that, then wtf can it do.

learn to read faggot. i never said it was like a monster truck.
dumb nigger

Whats even more gratifying to watch is how shiny brand new everything is when it breaks.
I was kinda hoping for more of a fuck up, but it seems like its more embarrassing how it went to shit in such a lame manner compared to crashing/flipping/etc.
-
Wow single shear to the max and it even looks like they used a single bolt to attach both coilovers. Just goes to show shiny expensive shit can still be ghetto.
-
Seems like he's trying to make up for something, damn shame he wasn't able to keep it up for long, either.

lol. Single shear FTL.
-
lol. Single shear FTL.
Its actually a reverse double shear of failure.
-
wow. 1 bolt holding the entire trucks weight. thats fucking retarded, especially considering the amount of work that was put into that setup.
johnny's truck could even out jump that thing.
-
ive had as much air under my old k5 as that shitbox is tall and it didnt break...
what a fucking joke
i've had more air under a civic than that and it didnt' break
until i fucked up the threads on a lower ball joint castle nut and didn't bother replacing it. that cought up to me pretty quick
-
i jumped my mazda 323 that already had a rusted gone engine mount (replaced with a ratchet strap) that high off train tracks and my shit didnt break, i jumped a lincoln off a busted piece of highway cement and all i did was break an axle and drove it never fixed, my friend jumped my 90 hatch in a parking lot and i almost got knocked out on the cieling, i could go on, that truck is pussy
-
I was in the store yesterday and this piece of shit is on the front of 4 wheeler magazine or one of those fucking off road magazines.
-
ssac bolts+solid understanding of load distribution=win
-
Look at all the work done to beef up that axle. Then a single bolt? That's so retarded I almost want to say it was a set-up.
-
what are those straps for ? so his wheels n shit dont fall off when hes airborn ? lol
-
My old crx has been over 3 feet in the air. and only thing that happened was the front lip fell off. It was evena Y-49 so fuck this truck
-
what are those straps for ? so his wheels n shit dont fall off when hes airborn ? lol
Limiting straps to limit downward suspension travel
-
only non fail in that vid is the chick in the reds ass :noel:
-
i read all the comments about jumping cars higher and thought 'sure' but damn that really was pitiful and I took my 92 lumina off worse shit many times and only twisted the unibody slightly at some point.
Though humiliating sometimes its what people need to learn how to build shit the right way and he should be able to adapt most of what he has without too extreme expense. I'm redesigning a machine right now from the shitty job the engineer we just fired did. It really reinforces theories etc to see something epically fail.
Ironically this morning I noticed he had pneumatic cylinders bolted on a single shear shoulder bolt and the first thing I did was replace it with a pin in double shear. It is some pretty basic shit
-
Its strange that one whole side broke... i would think both front mounts would shear first.
-
I jumped a 16' donzi that high off an alumacraft, shit didn't break either! Rivets ftw. :noel:
-

Ya, March 2010 issue of Four wheeler...this truck was custom built by bigfoot...had like $100,000 worth of parts on it, custom 4-link suspension, biodiesel motor with somethin arojnd 900 hp and 1200 ft/lb torque, 150 shot nitrous, the inside was decked to the max with 6 7" monitors and 3 amps all custom hand crafted...steering axle in the back for articulated steering, custom fabbed to relocate the pumpkin to the center, divorced transfercase to correct driveshaft angle, dual eiback coilovers at each wheel, 51" tires with custom beadlock, limiting straps for .....
ALL that and they failed to see such a weak point in the suspension...haha FAIL!

I've got the same thing on a machine at my plant. 4 large dump doors with pneumatic cylinders that are single sheer bolted to the side of the machine in such a way that the action tightens and loosens the bolt. What genius designs these things? I stacked a bunch of greased washers on each side and tacked it for now until I get some brackets made.

Took a 25' Chris Craft over a sandbar (accident) at around 35. Probably got about as much air. Only bent the prop.
