Title: Ingenuity welcome- addictive game
Post by: Lowerit on March 10, 2009, 04:39:27 PM
Wafflesincars posted this on the old site. I think I have wasted $1000's  of company time playing it

http://www.ingenuitywelcome.com/game/ (http://www.ingenuitywelcome.com/game/)

It's a lot better when you say screw the clock and build multi wheeled cars that look like they were drawn by Michael J Fox.

13 seconds?  Somehow I don't think you're doing a traditional cart... what's the trick?

did that car even move?
Title: Re: Ingenuity welcome- addictive game
Post by: enikolayev on March 12, 2009, 02:06:43 AM
Lol it did move, and carried some coconuts through the sunroof. but it bottomed out on the first bump.

here's my new creation. they didn't say the coconuts needed to be intact. A coconut launcher!

DID IT WORK?
Title: Re: Ingenuity welcome- addictive game
Post by: N1ghtM0nkey on March 12, 2009, 04:38:31 PM
A circle suspended by two shocks creates somewhat of a one way door.  Whenever you hit a jump or something the circle moves up closing the gap and preventing the coconuts from getting out, but I haven't been able to incorporate this into a good car.  I think my fastest was like 22 seconds and all 15.

That launcher worked somewhat... didn't launch the coconuts very far.

Use a smaller wheel with a rod attached to it as a cap on the top. so when you hit go that wheel turns and closes the lid... its foolproof.

Title: Re: Ingenuity welcome- addictive game

it only takes a basic design to get 100% but it also varies slightly on how you drive it. the same design could fail epically...

Computer processing speed is key.  I'm on an older work computer and the fastest of ANY cart design is about 45 seconds.

Someone with a fast computer duplicate this design... I put a door that closes on the top, works pretty well.

Try making a trap door for the coconuts. If you can do it right, it works perfectly everytime.

I can get the particle and piggy working, but the coconut deal just shows graphing paper forever.  :-\

edit: acts weird on my PC, loads occationally. Got a 15 nut/9sec run! But as usual...times and # was not displayed. Now I'm almost late to work.

Thank you for your interest in Johnson Controls and our Ingenuity Welcome microsite and the coconut cart game. This microsite has been taken down, as it supported an advertising campaign that has ended.
Many of you have responded that you would still like access to the coconut cart game. Your comments are deeply appreciated and are being heard. In the very near future, this game will again be available on our company Web site. Stay tuned.
Thank you for your enthusiasm for this game and your patience.
