Hi folks. I am sure some of you used this on the old website. I figured I would post my creation again. I have some new maps that will be posted up tonight.

I love this calculator, but I'm still in the self teaching mode for some of the finer points, like expected VE at what RPM's to expect with what engine ect. ect.
I've spent a ridiculous amount of time trying different combo's with it.
thank you kindly though for a very useful and time saving tool...although I'm not 100% confident in my accuracy on all my input data.

I don't know how much fuel tuning you do, but one of the best ways to find your VE is to look at your fuel pumping efficency. I don't know what kind of engine management you are using, but let me know if I can help. Assuming anything but 100% is always going to be close enough sometimes. The other thing you can do is make it match the shape of your HP curve and make the peak around 90-95% percent with the lowest around 78%.

Pretty neat... it takes most of the thinking out of compressor maps (assuming your inputs are correct). This is the closest thing I could get to a decent looking compressor map.

seriously. some of this stuff i just dont get. like how to read the chart at the bottom after you choose your turbo.

It's realy not that hard, it is just a graph of the turbo's output at a given rpm and pressure. Like a dyno graph but for the turbos compressor.

so when i plug in the 16g that im running now it spikes just before the little graph of ovals. and almost at 90 degrees
and when i plug in the ko3 that im thinking about getting it spikes right in the middle of the graph. and at a lower angle
so which one is better according to this graph.
engine is 1.6
going for 250 hp
4500 ft elevation
7500 redline
which side of the graph is rpms and which side shows boost

on the left is PR=pressure ratio=(Atm+boost)/Atm.
the bottom of the graph is indirectly rpms. expressed in CFM, Kg /s , or lbs./min (Vol. rate)
I usually figure out what the desired Vol. rate per 1000rpms then multiply by what ever the 2,3,4,5,6,7.....etc x k rpms you are looking at.

I just updated my calculator to do Turbo and twincharged calculations :
Including wastegate size, turbo size, intercooler size, hotside and cold side piping , boost pressure for your power target and all the fuel math you'd need to pull it off (injectors, pump, feed and return lines).

It also tells you other info like maximum safe redline for your bore/stroke combo which is really cool and volumetric efficiency (since someone asked about this) at your stock peak power rpm... if you want , you can also get your VE at any data point you want through the tuning tab (which recommends AFR and total timing figures based on your VE so the VE is calculated and displayed there too).

Not that all the other bells and whistles you mention aren't erroneous, too, but that claim right there is dumb as shit and can't be expressed with a simple applet.

Used the second link and found the exact info. I worked out on paper for my twincharge setup works.
The Holset map for He351ve is better than I've seen everywhere else.

$10 or so for this calculator and it gives you a lot of info., including meth inj, home brew fuel, suggestions of sizing the complete system, part by part.
I like this calculator the most for the comprehensive maps. :noel:
