It takes a great deal of skill, alcohol and buckets of money to continually build cars that blow up in an epic fashion. So when my wife to be and I set out to buy a house I knew I needed a place to make broken dreams come true.
The house is on nearly 2 acres so when I want to extend my garage I can... it's also about 5 miles from 4 Wrecking yards
The detached garage initially had no heat, insulation or drywall.. I like to be comfy when I build stuff so my project begins. Keep in mind I didn't start this until mid october.
First off a friend and I wired it with enough outlets for a hospital. One thing that always drove me nuts was that my father had a 15 car garage with 2 outlets. While we're at it why not add some sound. I have a spare sony surround sound system, so off to princess auto we went and scored 500 ft of speaker wire for $10. We wired in in a fashion that it was away from the power wires (worried about fields) So now the garage has dolby 5.1. My old 42" TV was up next and mounted to the wall with a VGA computer imput. Traded some civic parts for a desktop computer and I built a bench tall enough for my drill press and to sit under. (I wont do any grinding @ this station)
How it looked a few days after GRM...(October)
I cant stand the cold, Im a princess.. So I insulated it and I had it drywalled by one of my sales guys dads. He did an amazing job. Once that was complete I rented an industrial paint gun and primed it - next day painted the garage gray.
Now
